No vortex, just a pile o coals in the middle, wings on the ring, and frozen Hebrew Nats on the outer edge. Chunk O Hickory in the center for some flavor.

WOW, The smoke helped the Nats out.... still waiting on the wings, they’re piled, over the center now getting crispy

15% off site wide at GrillGrate. Just saying...

Took 2 steaks out of the freezer last night to cook tonight. They were still frozen and asked my sons what they wanted to eat tonight. That was dumb.

Groundhog day. Although nothing wrong with that. Yesterday for lunch used the gasser on the deck. Because of a wooden deck I don't like to leave a burning fire gas or coals, doesn't matter the source of fire to me. Across the ravine about 30 yards away (chip shot with the bow) watched a fawn being born.

Saw mom walk by tonight without bambi. Imagine it is bedded down someplace close by.

One hour in replace the wood chunk with the sauce bowl

    sauce one hour.jpg

Pulled, tossed in sauce and back on for 6 minutes. Done.

    twice baked done.jpg

Costco sent me a letter today asking if I wanted to renew my membership. Duh?! Wings and blue cheese. Prime grade Ribeye cap steaks. Stupid question!

    Yeah I'm signing up again.

I used to wrap in foil, now I wrap in pink butcher paper. I always thought it was a gimmick, but damn the paper seems to do so much better.

Costco got me again. Walked in to price out some meat for the Memorial Day weekend bbq, walked out with 15lbs of prime brisket for $50.

Gonna trim it up tomorrow to fit right on the PBC and then SPOG it down, maybe add some Pitfaced.

Has anyone confirmed the charcoal stockup sale at HD/Lowes yet? Haven't seen Scott posting his semi-trailer stock yet from his army of purchasers.

Local shop had full spare ribs - not on sale but still - full racks. I got 2 to try out on the WSM this weekend. Gonna do 1 with Dinosaur Cajun Foreplay and the other in a milder rub I get from a vendor at the fair. Sauces will be Dino Sensuous Slathering and SBR respectively.

An unusually high amount of pinstriping.
I just picked a roll of pink butcher paper the other day to try. I've got a brisket to try it on this weekend.
