    YES!!
I had bird crap on the hood and it etched in the paint. Anyhow, I polished it out as much as I can but it's still there, just not as noticeable. I bought this product called Ultima Paint Guard Plus and it seems to work well. When a bird decided to bomb the truck, it does not leave marks anymore. I also keep a bottle of quick detail in the truck.

RIP to my 08 Prerunner DC
One bird shit big whoop. I have a cardinal that looks at himself in my mirrors. He ruined my dads by pecking and scratching at them, but I got smart and put bags over my mirrors. Just imagine the amount of shit one bird can make in one night smeared all over your mirror and down the side everyday.

It's good to keep a quick detailer and a microfiber cloth in your vehicle. As soon as you see bird crap, wipe it off. Like mentioned above, bird crap is acidic, and it eats paint.

Any scratches you might cause wiping off the bird crap will be MUCH easier to remove than any etching caused by leaving it there.

Of course it also a great idea to keep your vehicle well waxed, as this will slow down the etching process (but not prevent it indefinitely).

Also, NEVER park under trees (or light poles, electrical wires). The benefit of shade is far less than the damage caused by the bird crap and other junk that falls from them. I never park under anything (except when my truck is in the garage) and I get bird crap maybe once per year, if that.

We sell a good quick detailer (CSI Q-7 Detailer), which is only $8.50 for 32 ounces. Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Detailer is also a good product and is available in most retailers and is around $10. The cost for either is a small price to pay for protecting your paint.

I use meguiar's, but I wanna try some of your products as soon as I'm finished with the ones I have. The qhick detailer from meguiar's is really good though.
