They better do better than that. I have a supplier discount, so I'm supposed to get Invoice + Tax on anything done at the factory.

They said they would be installed at factory if they were part of the original order (which they were).

I would think Side Steps would be Port or Dealer Installed.

Even if they're port installed (like the floor mats are) I'd get my discount. I only don't get a discount if they're installed at a dealer.

Isn't it the dealers fault though? they should comp you for that. They threw in the exhaust for no cost for messing up my first order.

I can agree with that. Though I doubt they'd comp me, for $500 steps. I told them I'd be willing to install them myself if they'd give them to me at invoice to make it right. I'm going back to the dealer today, so we'll see if I can put more pressure on them to do it and/or talk to the sales manager.

Just missed a call from my dealer. VM tells me Tuesday May 22 is my build date!! Hoping it sticks. I like that it's a Tuesday and the number 22 has always been a fave. I'll call them back after work for more detail.

Would the dealer now have the V-spec sheet??

My dealer had my VSPEC before they had my exact build date, so I'd think so .

Well turns out the dealership will not give me the steps at the price I would have paid if they were included properly, and they won't even give me a discount of any kind. I filed a case with Toyota corporate, so we'll see how this goes. At the very least, they've guaranteed I'll take their "post-sale survey" and make sure I mark them down for this.

How much are these steps and how much "discount" are you looking to get?

I bought all my OEM add ons at a different dealer to get the lowest cost and showed up at the dealer with boxes to install (wheels and OEM roofrack). They dinged me a little for install but it's still covered under factory warranty.

Seems to me these steps could be done in the same manner.

    Retail is $469

I work for a parts supplier, and thus get a supplier discount on anything added at the factory or port. The "discount" I was looking to get is the price I would have paid if the truck order included the steps, as I originally ordered. For the record, that price is $320.

After working with one of their managers (who become suddenly very interested in helping resolve the issue once they got a call from Toyota corporate) they gave me the steps at invoice + shipping since they would have to be special ordered. My total after tax came to $390. He said they'd even install them for me free of charge.

As long as we're talking about step tubes, my dealer tossed in Predators to get me to drop deposit..My question is this, are predators still available for the 18 access cab ? They show up only for the dc on the web site build page...Is this what I need ? Also, I'd like to add the TRD Pro 17s blk. Has anyone put the stock 17 inch rubber ( trd sport ) on the Pro wheels and if so how'd it work out (look)?? Dealer wants $1060 + tx to put em on the truck. I get to keep stock wheels. I know Icould do slightly better using EBay and a local tire shop but I'd love to have em on the truck when I bring her home..BTW , today is my supposed build date !!!image.jpg

Sorry. Didn't mean to stall this thread with wheel questions. Spoke to my salesman today. My truck was actually built a few days earlier than projected. Predator tubes will be on when i pick it up. So far so good. The truck was snagged from the allocation " pipeline " on its way to Maryland. Gonna be shipped right to my dealer here in CNY. so no miles. Only issue is that it's coming with a bed extender...$300... Dealer has agreed to split that with me. I'm really okay with that if it means getting a truck sooner..
Cement sport AC MT btw. Can't fkn wait.

Wow. Long wait but looking at what you're getting I'm thinking worth it. I put a deposit on April 27 , built 5/18/18 and sounds like I'll have my truck by the end of this month. So not near the wait but it was snagged from another dealer..Killer wait though......

I put a deposit down 1/9/18, build date was 5/19/18 and took delivery 6/9/18. 6 months to the day... worth the wait.

Our BBP DBCB 4x4 w/ Tech Package has a production date scheduled for 21JUN!! Based historical reference we should have it in the middle of July or before. What caused this to be a factory order? It was the BBP color!
