It’s hilarious watching from when this tune started and then everyone is wondering how long it’s going to take since the orders have probably quintupled

It is funny watching people get turned away from a business so the small business owner struggles to expand or get more business. You know, because it scares less patient people away.

    So hilarious.

I ran 1.03 87 for approx 1500 miles. I’m stock except Leer canopy. My best avg tank was 18-19 mostly freeway including stop/go traffic. I’m a pretty conservative driver. By comparison on 1.04, I avg 22-24 for the same freeway driving. The MPG difference between the two is less when driving short distances/in town/hilly.

I actually like both. I like the “power” feeling of 1.03(91) It makes the Tacoma fun to drive and gives it life. The truck does feel lighter and less restricted. It holds gears 5 & 6 great at higher speeds. It felt so good to cruise at 70 to 80 and still accelerate easily. ECT is an animal! My biggest drawback is being difficult to get it to downshift to a lower gear coming out of a turn without giving a lot of gas. It wants to hold the gears.

1.04(91) is more refined and smoothed out. The cold start jumps are gone. The acceleration to the higher RPMs is not as jerky. That transition is smooth. Gears 1 through 4 are solid and feel good. It does downshift good for coming out of turns with power. The biggest drawback for me is the truck feels heavier and gears 5 & 6 don’t feel as strong at higher speeds. My gas has not changed much from either tune. I average 20-24 MPGs even in ECT and in S-Gears especially. I am running stock except for intake and exhaust.

This is just my take on both tunes and not negative at all. We all have different needs for our Tacomas. Once the custom tunes open up I’m looking forward to a tune with the best of both and more. @OVTune keeps making these tunes better with every release. Its driving difference is night and day over stock. Great job Mat.

Not sure how it would do the trick for you. On 1.04 running stock everything else, mine still struggles to hold speeds over 70 or so. Still downshifts to 4th gear for hills, headwinds, or even cross winds. In town driving is great though.

Once custom tunes are available. I want the smoothness of 1.04 with the zippyness of 1.03. Anyone else agree?

    1.04. Kbro2s. ICONS.
I reset my MPG meter (on the entune system) between each flash. 1.03 was the lowest. 1.04 is the same as 1.02c and b.

Registration steps and tune will be sent to you as soon as humanly possible. Once registration is finished I will send you a label for the dongle to be returned.

Your replacement cable shipped should be there today I expect, no idea why UPS would not forward the package.

Wait times or delays like this are completely out of the ordinary and not something to be expected.

I think my post was misunderstood. There was a lot of people who were on the fence. Now shortly after Mat revealed Toyota was talking to him about him doing some work for him, people suddenly jump on and then complain because orders take a long time. Just find that ironic I guess
