Crank won’t turn

    Technically, it currently is, if the timing cover is actually still on. Since the cams are removed, the chain would have moved around the sprocket. The chain is visible around the crank sprocket, in the picture above.

    I hadn’t seen that the cams were removed. I thought access to them would be from behind the timing chain cover and if that’s not removed???
    Also, I’m looking at the pics from a phone and I can make out the crank sprocket but it looks empty to me...
    Appreciate the knowledge shared:thumbsup:

    You're welcome. Don't confuse the crank position reluctor with the timing chain sprocket.

    the cams came off before i pulled the engine this past weekend.I took the timing cover and chain off last night.im hoping to have the heads off tonight.any one know what size allen head i need to do that?

    Not sure which you are referring to, but the head bolts use the bi-hex.

    heads are off so here are some more pics.also rod 3 and the cams off pic some of you wanted.lets see if you guys see a problem:confused: keep in mind the pistons are wet from the marvel oil had to soak it up with towels before the picture.

    Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
    A couple of those look pretty rusted. Now, can you move any of the pistons just a little By tapping them from underneath with a broom handle or something similar?

    I didn’t try moving the pistons I want to get that crap a bit clearer before I move them up
