Oh I agree. Considering what I paid and that it was a clean title, no accidents, owned by the same chick since 2009.... it was a decent find.

And nothing was necessarily major or hard, more so annoying cuz I have been trying to get the truck done and ready for camping. Basically had 2 project cars for a week or two while I got everything done on the Honda

And yes you do need to see it

before sliding your edge grommet on the bedsides, mask them about 1/8" up and paint them with some paint. The same color you used on the bumper is fine, it will just keep the paint from flaking from the fresh cut.

Interesting..... so even with the edge trim on there it’ll flake from within? Last time I trimmed painted shit was on my Jeep and I just painted it and called it a day. The edge trim is 7/16” long if it makes a difference. Thanks amigo!

The edge trim may help. I didnt use edge trim...just painted mine. But ive always ran a coat of paint on the edge of metal that is cut after its painted and it has held up great. You can use clear if you like even. It just helps keep the moisture away from the layered edge, and seals it up... Almost act like a glue.

Also I masked it straight and kept it close to the edge so to the eye, the cut looks super straight. As long as you keep the top of the line flat... In reality its the best I could do with a die grinder and cut off wheel. Sorry the first two are dirty but it shows what I mean. 3rd from a distance shows how it blends it all together.
