Just saw this, I live right in Plymouth, NH. I will at least swing by Bristol when you all are there!

 

No official first aide training?

 

Yes give it a search. There’s 2 threads about it. Last years and the years before. Both were fantastic day trips

 

Negative - company is too busy sending me around the world to keep me back at plant for a week or two worth of training..

 

I am Wilderness EMT certified and Outdoor Emergency Care certified. work as Ski Patrol during the winter and work on people. I would recommend a weekend course, Wilderness first Aid from SOLO(Stone Hearth Open Learning Opportunitie) they offer classes all over the place and one of the schools is in Conway, NH. a good option depending on what your work offers for training.

I could possibly do a small unofficial class at a meet up sometime if people were interested in basics. stopping bleeding, maintaining airways, splinting, treating for shock ect.

there is a new Outdoor Emergency Care book coming out this year with updated protocol. it is a good resource depending on how you like to learn things.

 

@fatfurious2 will be performing basic mouth to mouth training on has cat but I will be looking the other way!

I'm actually planning on getting a RTT next spring because I want to take a two week trip out west next year. I was thinking about that same thing with hotel costs and at that point it's worth it to just buy the tent instead haha

 

I want an RTT too! but i would have to fab up a softopper bed rack and then still buy the tent, my ass still has a year left of college so thats out of the question

 

I want to join you. I want to go cross country to see Seattle, but thats a long ass drive by myself

 

I’m bunking in with @Grand dude , So probably less than half the regular price since he gets a senior citizen discount.

 

So after you have your rtt then what ?

 

You don't pay for hotels anymore

 

Rtts are pretty great, but they are such a waste of space when not in use. Storing these things is a nightmare.

 

If you don't have space.. they stay on truck
