Haven't had it before and all the talk about eagle rare had me jonsing to try it. $26 and change at total wine for me. They had probably only 5 or 6 on the shelf. Looking forward to trying it soon.

I usually bounce between Bulleit Bourbon, Elijah Craigh, Turkey 81, and Makers Mark.

I noticed this new addition last week:

    IMG_20180517_162242306_HDR.jpg

Not too sure what I think about the Tabasco... anyone tried this? I do like their Sour Mash occasionally which had me tempted to pull the trigger.

I heard about this. For that price I'll give it a go if I come across it.

I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that, to me at least, Eagle Rare is the best bang-for-the-buck whiskey out there. It is drying up in a lot of places due to popularity. I have an unopened bottle at home that you just inspired me to crack open!

Try it with just a few drops of water. Let it sit for 5 min or so then take a sip. If it's not right add just a few more drops. The water opens it up. Ice will melt and dilute it too much. Once you get the right amount of water drops it is very good.

On a side note: I finally tried the High West Campfire which is a bourbon/rye/scotch blend. It’s good but not sure I’d pay the $70ish for the bottle
