This is on the horizon for me. I have to remodel one more bathroom in my house and then will buy the trailer. Jealous.

On another topic, I almost bought the Baja Designs fog lights in amber which I really , really like but decided to hold off on after reading some of @crashnburn80 posts explaining that the TRD Pro Rigid fog lights actually are more effective and are street legal. I was waiting for ebay to have another 20% off site wide sale and will get one or the other when that happens.

For the price the Baja are a better value and they throw plenty of light regardless of what one member said. There are a ton more people buying the Baja than any other brand. It's because they put out great light.

Haha kinda the opposite of me, we just sold our house and are building new soon. In the meantime we’re camping as much as we can. You’ll love the trailer time!

Retiring in the very near future so planning on a lot of cheap travel time.

Problem with Baja for street use is they don’t have a fog beam, so there is no cut off. Wide cornering is often suggested which is wide in every direction causing massive glare for oncoming drivers.

    Rigid left, BD right.
    50F7A95F-40C5-4821-9CA7-3B447C79F143.jpg

Both these lights have about the same output.

Rigid will deliver much higher intensity (lux) in the fog area as 100% of the light is focused there, whereas the BD pod is spending plenty of its light illuminating the 3rd story of my house, so it is illuminating more area but with much less intensity. Rigid has razor sharp cut offs like projectors, BD has none.

BD wide cornering will be excellent off road for very broad near feild awareness but isn’t good for low beam street use due to lack of cut offs.

The aftermarket Rigid LED Fog pods are also quite a bit brighter than the TRD Pro Rigid LED fogs.

That is from not adjusting them down out of oncoming traffic direct view. HID's are the worst. People just install them and never adjust them. I knew after 1 mile that I had to immediately adjust mine which I did. The Hikari LED headlights have a great cutoff. The Baja fogs must be aimed downward or are ridiculously intrusive.

Well after 1 day... I love them. I had them on my 2012 and missed them.

THANKS! I tried the alcohol pads that came with the kit but it didn't work. It is absolutely annoying!

I'm only 5'10" but I don't notice them when driving. (Other than the stupid logo, which I'm going to try and remove)

BD lights up the 3rd story of my house from 20-25ft. No amount of aiming down fixes no cut off while providing useful light, especially on a wide angle light. Using a correctly designed light for the purpose puts far more light on the road and provides better downroad visability without blinding anyone. That is what engineered beam patterns are for, BD has an off road only designed pattern for wide area illumination in all directions.

Got the new wheels on, mud flap are obviously coming off, may have to add some heat and bend some plastic.

    16x8 Level 8 mk6 wheels -10. Tires are 265/75/16 on stock suspension.

Use fingernail polish remover and a cotton ball. Cheap brand without acetone takes logo off of visors.

Seen a killer local deal on used twice "minnie winnie" winnebago trailer, which is top notch quality, but looking for something with a slide that sleeps 4-6. Was planning on new but there are so many "like new" at nearly half the price of new. I try not to look too much until I am ready to jump. Looking at 3500-4250 lb dry weight. There are just so many on the market. Not to mention all the killer "new" deals Camping World keeps advertising. My bro-in-law stole a nice 5th wheel for his F250 for under $10k that looked like it was never used. The money my wife will spend on beach rentals this summer will pay for at least 1/2 of a new one. But gotta get that bathroom remodeled first :goingcrazy:

mine lost right at 1 mile per gallon from my calculations, but for some reason when I installed the RCI skid plate I seem to regained it back or truck is just breaking in more. Only have 6k on it.
