Moved the discussion to the BS thread so we can beat it dead some more. If you want some background to my response below its about 3 pages of BS in the in the events thread.

Yet you assumed because of a dry winter the FS was going open the trail early? What background knowledge or past experience on this subject do you already have to allow you to assume that a dry winter = seasonal closure trails opening early?

Yes the obvious could be true however unless you know something I don't know chances are the FS has more then 1 reason for a seasonal closure. I don't know you at all so I can only base my responses on the information you provide in your posts. Your responses began pages back with "Slaughterhouse is definitely open" which tells me absolutely nothing. The only factual truth we have is that there is a sign at the trailhead that says the trail is closed until 5/31. Unless you contacted the FS ahead of time and confirmed that the trail is open, everything is simply an assumption. But you never offered up that information in any of your posts. The only saving grace you had was that the FS happened be there when you ran the trail but you have no idea what they were doing there.

The seasonal closure I think you might be referring to is the one for winter grazing/nesting grounds that closed trails to all forms of travel, even foot from Jan 1 through May 15. This is a court ordered closure because of a lawsuit placed by some green organization because studies were not performed on the impact to wildlife in the winter time. I don't know how these studies were forced as those roads were there long before the MMUV was required.

Brian the sign at the trailhead does say through 5/31. It was posted on FB the other day. Beyond that sign, everything is an assumption unless the FS is contacted.

Still cheaper than buying pre built. Especially with shipping

    Does a frame replacement count?
Dropped my truck of today for a new frame at the dealer. I’ve got some 2016 suspension I’m having them swap into my SR5! Enterprise didn’t have the tacoma loaner I was promised  so I got a 4Runner. They also told me I cannot tow with their vehicles... on Sunday I’m moving! I told my service person that multiple times since the process began that I needed to tow and she sorta shrugged. Super irritated but hopefully the frame replacement is easy/painless/cheap.

For sure bud. If you know exactly what you need and take the time to walk the scrap yard of K&K all the steel there was .50 a pound last time I was there. You'll be able to build your bumper dirt cheap.

    WIN!

While I'm gonna be putting in work this weekend (yard, moving furniture, cleaning sh*t), I am beyond elated to have a three day weekend. That and Wheeler's is putting together a full OME kit for me; shipping it out early next week. My 1st gen's tired suspension (scary tired) needs to be retired.

Almost wrench time. Which means... I get to go shopping for a cordless impact wrench (thinking Dewalt) and a torque wrench.

And a new garage door opener.

Found the post and I will publicly apologize for my badgering of @09BlueBeast. I clearly had my dates incorrect.

I just finished my front and rear suspension. 5100 at zero with OME 885 up front and toytec boss leaf pack with boss shocks in back. I have an alignment scheduled tomorrow, but I still have a plate bumper to install.

My question is will the bumper affect the alignment if I put it on after it is aligned??
