What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

On here. Look in the group buy category. I saved 25 bucks. I'd buy now and wait to install if you can. The nice ones were just over a 100, with tax/shipping.

 

I was so OCD about cleaning off my frame during the winter that it only had surface rust. I just got a rustproofing coat under the recall. And not having A/C is an instant dealbreaker for me, regardless of outward condition!

 

Turns out the extended length King rear shocks and resi mounts were way harder to install than the new leaf pack. One down one to go.

The thing, I'm already going to be sinking almost a thousand bucks into some bodywork next month, I just upgraded my stereo, and I'm trying to SAVE money now. It is oh-so-very-tempting to buy the struts, but if I could just find out when that next group buy is...

Get the basic ones. I heard great reviews on them.

 

I currently work as a barback at a bar/music venue, and I made more than enough to buy those struts tonight! It's just a matter of the parental units getting on my ass about saving money. I have Aspergers Syndrome, I still live with the parents, and they want me to be more independent. However, one thing I've noticed is that on Tacoma World, even adults who aren't on the autism spectrum and/or don't have any disabilities have a hard time saving money! Modifying one's truck is just so much fun!

I get it. Look at it like a rare opportunity at saving money. If you buy any other time you'd be spending more for no reason. Yes. Basic drilling is needed. It's pretty simple. You can hit me up with questions if ya need.

Installed "REDLINE TUNING 05-15 Tacoma Hood QuickLIFT PLUS" from the group-buy. Had to use a pneumatic drill when drilling the hole closest to the firewall due to the size of my cordless drill wouldn't let me get the correct angle.

Any time I get to break out crazy different tools I find it more interesting even though this is a easier DIY task.

Just got the truck back from Toyota after a full trans service (only 42,000) Kms on the truck but it’s towed from the first day off the lot so it was worth doing. Now when I turn hard, right especially the VSC comes on and apply’s the breaks in a corner. It’s only got a bilstein 2.5” lift on it and never had this issue until now. For as many trucks I see on here lifted I know it’s a common issue but just seems odd that I now have to routinely shut it off on any windier sections of roads. The trailer sway control is a cool feature if anyone’s ever had it come on. Trucks a 2015 DCLB
