The numbers are readily available. Having gone through the 20% cost reduction in preparation for the implementation you can quote me as a source. The more dependent a medical facility is on Medicare income (which doesn't reimburse any where near the actual cost) the more the facility is impacted. The rural hospitals are especially dependent on Medicare and are in a crisis. Pretty much nationwide but especially in the South East.

Edit: @CVYota here is an article from University of Southern Calif. about rural health care shutting down, in California, and also mentions 1 hospital a month shutting down. It is in pretty much every professional rag out there in the medical field for the last half decade.

I'm going to hang some rubber flaps at the front on the bed a few inches back from the cab just to take the energy out of whatever flys forward.

I don't get double OT till Monday. Our pay period closes tomorrow so all this won't be on one check.
    F that.

    Hi

I’ve no idea how many pages I’m skipping ...

I ended up staying home and not going back to Iowa. Tweaked my left knee and trying to nurse it back all week ... steadily got worse and went to doc today. Issued crutches, sent to Anchorage as precursor to MRI, which won’t happen until Tuesday. Oh yeah, more Vitamin M (Motrin) ... the VA and Air Force Docs have that in common.

But NEWSFLASH ... there’s apparently a new Shingles vaccine that is recommended for 50+.
It’s a two shot series, I got my first shot today; second shot in 2-4 months, I scheduled it for first Monday in August. Paperwork calls it Recombinant Zoster (Shingles) Vaccine, RZV. Apparently it was approved by FDA in 2017. I think we last had this discussion about Shingles in January 2017 when Kevin had it in his eye IIRC. The VA wouldn’t authorize the previous vaccine for early 50s ... this one the nurse offered to me when she processed me in for my knee appt. Thought it worth letting ya’ll know.

Hope all are well ... I’m not at all caught up for the last week.

Thank you Chuck. I’m hoping for the same. I had a torn meniscus repaired in this same knee 18 years ago.

I am reading all this cause I am old, cantankerous, retired, (mostly) and find some humor in some of the post. I am at that age I don't do anything unless I, and yes I feel like it. I have a machine shop and welding shop in my back yard and every now and then I feel bad cause it doesn't get used as much as it should, could. I do a few small jobs for other fab shops as long as they don't put me on a dead line. I gotta say around 2:00 p.m. I start thinking about a nap. And hell, I don't get up till 9 or 10. LOL. ALLIGATOR, DEER, FISH OR FROG, its whats for dinner. Drag up a chair its gumbo time.

Went up to the dealership yesterday took the 3rd gen loaner back. Took my truck for a ride, much improved. Service writer told me they found nothing wrong but replaced everything and resurfaced the drums anyway.
Took a Tundra Platinum Crewmax home.

    Yea sure..
Since they didn’t replace the cables and they say they didn’t find anything wrong (broken parts)I’m betting the shoes got contaminated with bk fluid during the frame swap. It can happen as they disconnect the lines and it runs down the back of the backing plate and seeps into the bottom of the drum.
Not there fault per say. So they did the only thing they could do.
Remember, everything done on a vehicle is invasive.
    Shit happens..
    Don’t burn them..
It’s a tremendous job to perform..
