Not saying anything for certain yet, just checking interest...
But, if I were willing to remove parts from my truck...
and let's say pricing, except for shell, is half whatever they go for new...

    Any interest in the following:
    *Pelfrybilt standard steel rear bumper
*BAMF IFS & LCA skids (@11TRDTX has dibs if his wife releases his wallet )
*Leer shell. Thinking maybe like $600-ish.
*King remote resi extended travel coilovers. 650lb springs. Cash plus trade me your older/cheaper/whatever lifted coilover assembly so I can maintain 2-3" lift to clear my tires.

Less interested in removing kings just because of the hassle but I might consider it for someone willing to help do the work.

A ride in Dave’s and a test drive was all it took. I’m in love

LOL. yeah, test drive kinda blows you away.
I accidentally hit 80mph on the ramp to the hwy on my test drive. It was so smooth and quiet.

Check out the used Lexus GX470 and GX460 too. Really nice. There is a GX470 in town here for under $11k that already has BFG KOs and the rear suspension air bags have already been converted to coil springs.

GX's are hard to beat. A 4runner with a V8 basically. I wheeled with a couple at STLCA meet last year at Windrock and they are pretty darn impressive.

In my 3rd gen Taco I was lucky to just maintain 70mph without being wound out in 4th gear. In the T4r with similar mods and KO2 E's I can roll 80-90 no problems and stay in 5th gear. I still love the Taco's but the T4r was a much better daily driver for me as much as I commute.

The guy who appraised my truck at the dealership said “there’s something really wrong with the transmission or rear end, but I don’t know what it is” I tried to explain to him about the locker and he had no fucking clue. I said “just give me an offer so I can leave”

There has to be somebody in this thread who needs a locker. Swap with them. Win win.

    Y’all help me think through this. My buddy’s 07 won’t go into 4x4. Here’s what I know.

4x4 light flashes on the dash in 2 and 4 wheel drive.

Front drive shaft will not spin freely in 2wd.

No power to front wheels in 4wd.

Seems to me that the t-case actuator is stuck on (drive shaft won’t spin by hand in 2wd) and maybe the actuator on the diff is bad and won’t engage (no power to front in 4wd).

    Any ideas?

Maybe crawl up under there while he turns the knob and see if you can hear the diff and tcase actuators?

No check engine light so dealer service multiple times said nothing to worry about.

Edit: LOL. Checked my notes. 3 trips to dealer over span of 39k miles to ask them to check it out. Each time was told everything seemed normal, nothing to worry about, and just keep driving as usual.

Plus I think I'm just gonna make a bed rack instead of a topper. I was thinking topper so i could put a rrt on it but i have since changed my mind. Rack would be easy to make and no crawling into the truck for something at the front of the bed
