Ya. I’m too damn lazy to take any of that stuff off. Interferes with beer time.
But that little hardtail runs pretty nice.

Just picked this guy up Sunday. Wanted a more slack and durable bike for parks. Getting more into Northstar and more aggressive riding. Picked it up for 2250 so couldn't pass it up.

Looking at getting into mountain biking. Currently looking at hard tails. Toss up between the Cannondale Trail 6 and the Trek Marlin 7.

I’m not a fan of Cannondales. I’ve seen a few of their frames snapped in person during rides. We use to call them Crankondales and Cannonwhales for breaking a lot and being heavy.

I do the same in my area as there is like two small shops who even cater to DH. For them, they get my money if I need something as I always want to support a shop that does more than roadies. At the same time though, its hard to spend money at a shop when all my buddies ride on teams so used stuff comes along quite a bit. I have one road bike I use strictly to get to work since paying to park is gay and I can always use the workout, I used to hit up my LBS that I got it from. I knew I would be pissed when I looked online to see what their parts were comparatively...I figured after a year I gave them my "loyalty" and started getting parts at a third of the price. They still try to bullshit me on parts...besides spesh armadillo commuter tires, I wont buy a thing from them now.

I agree with this...I used to use MTBR back in the 90's, but they fell off a lot when PB came around IMO.

So I got back from the shoe opener this weekend and got to feel up my boys SC V10 with carbon wheels. I think he saved almost 4 pounds from the switch...Im really thinking that will be next for the gambler. Anyone got any solid recommendations on some carbon wheels since they have been around a little while now?
