I've got a 2008 4x4 with Toytech coilovers and Allpro UCAs. Ihad the lift "professionally" installed.
I've been having noise from the left side and noticed the UCA retention bolt was coming loose. Upon tightening the the UCA arm retention bolt I also noticed that the recessed retention bolt on the left ball was not flush with the top of the ball. note the following pic with it sticking up.

The other side is flush and looks like this:

I called Allpro yesterday and I belive the phone jockey at allpro lied and did not show the pictures to the service tech. It was basically a dead end.
Anyone wanna offer me some info on why this bolt should not be flush like the other side.
It is completely tightened to the retaining nut underneath and the phone jockey says the bolt threads only into the retaining nut on the bottom. So basically he is saying the nut should slide all the way down till its seated and the retaining nut is the only way the bolt stays seated.
Also I wonder why the questionable side is all corroded.
The install is less than a year old.
Should I get a new ball from Allpro?
    Here's the bottom: all snug

something is wrong w/ the spacing on the bolt...only way to really know is to take it apart...or take it to the "professional" installer...yet another reason i do all my own work on my truck if possible...

For whatever reason the installer put a washer on the left side. Its not worth dismantling just to remove a washer.

yea, i dont think case is closed, the head of that bolt seems like it might be able to damage the inside of that cup attached to the arm if you get enough downtravel..but thats just me. (and the two guys above me!):D

EDIT: also, was there any explanation why there was a washer on only one side?

x2. It's a single nut and bolt that's not hard to remove. Spend the 20 minutes fixing the issue and you'll never have to worry about it again.
