My My gas mileage isn't too terrible. With all of my short city driving that I do during the week I'm still averaging about 16 to the gallon and right now as we make our way to hidden falls I'm getting about 18 or so.

I have the old style Ocean Kayak Drifter model. It's set up for fishing.

Make some nerf noodle sets with live bait and let them float around while you are fishing.

Exactly, If you have a perch trap, put an empty coors light can in it and set it out a few days before you so you will have fresh live bait.

I catch gar as a hobby. Take some nylon rope, about 10 inches..and double it over. Put a large zip tie on the end, making an eye. Comb out the strands on the other end. Comb them all the way out to each individual strand. Build a steel leader that goes through the eye. Then when they come up to role, cast out and jig it up and down.... gar are very curious and once they bite it to see if they can eat it, they get caught up in it and the fight is on.

@Bell214b, This is interesting I have not done it this way. When you say cast out and jig it up and down are you using a float. Or jigging with retrieval back to you. Thanks

Naw no float. Just work it up and down like a jig or a worm. You can use a bullet weight to get it out farther

I don't know if anyone would consider our rigs "nice" but we came out today and met up with another Toyota group from Houston and ran some trails. Going to go out again tomorrow for a little bit before we head home.
