Oh.. And I add some Lucas fuel injector cleaner and then cleaned my MAF and sprayed some TB Cleaner into my IAC valve hoping to clean it some what. If this stuff doesnt help my Issue. I wil be taking off my IAC and cleaning it totally.

made my own leaf spring clamps. clamped the overload to the rest of the leafpack. useing 1/2'' steel,4.5'' grade 5 bolts and cut up an old floor mat to put between the steel and the leafs to prevent squeeking. didnt take any pics but it looks like the ones that ywen put on his truck. i have to say it gives a nicer firmer ride and seemed to get rid of what little axle wrap i had left.

    Horn Mod!

Went to the JY last weekend and picked up a set of horns from a Caddy. My intent was to add them to the Tacoma for a more robust sound.

I needed to flatten out the locking tab on each horn.

    DSC_0033_c87dfbc0beb1a06744611371ecc558814368fc74.jpg

Mounted one horn on the passengers side outside the radiator mount.

    DSC_0035_fefa7fa884385bcf8695153e6229655846c5d1d5.jpg

Mounted the other horn on the drivers side inside the radiator mount. Both horns went into pre drilled holes .

    DSC_0036_d4e9ef9459c9b53121507111d521386d7d2fa8d6.jpg

Ran the ground back to the fender ground lug. My ground has the yellow insulator on the ring.

    DSC_0037_e0fd0ce7d887b8b80dad75d3c8e926c2e7ec2d5e.jpg

I knew that at about 2.7 amps per horn the 10amp fuse would not hold the power requirement and I was correct. I went to a 15amp fuse and so far no problems. It will be pretty easy to add a separate fused relay for the new horns and should only take about 20 minutes to do so.

The sound is really nice . Not a lot louder but a deeper fuller and rich sound. Not your typical Toyota horn. LOL.

This is a very quick and easy mod. I only had to spend money on some more wire loom. I am guessing the horns cost less than $5 so my total cost was under $10.

Got underneath, sanded a couple areas and hit 'em with the rattle can. Mainly just some surface rust starting on the leaf spring brackets.

Finally got up the nerve to try the Satoshi grill , started yesterday , finished today , turned out good. Just ordered my TRD emblem on ebay for the grill.
