    1997 t4r has super duty axles, 5.13s locked front and rear. 3 link front with 14" kings. Rear 63s.
    Not going to make it just a toy want it to be reliable and if I wanted jay drive it where ever and not worry about tires.

    Well, it boils down to the fact that any Interco tire will wear like shit. They are all made from a soft sticky compound. They will however give you awesome off-road performance and if you don't put a lot of miles on your vehicle, they will age better than any other tire out there. But if you don't go with Interco, then definite Toyo or Nitto are the only way to go. :thumbsup:

    I will be sitting on a new set of Maxxis tires within the next few months. LTB’s are good off-road, and better than any other tire in mud, but any regular mud terrain will have just as much traction on rocks as the LTB’s, but with 10x better road manners.

    Booo! Hisssss! First off, the Bogger is better than any other tire in the mud. At the Land-o-lakes mud bogs during fan participation with the hole so sloppy the most of the V8 class didn't make it through the hole until one of them finally blew it open, and none of the 4 & 6 cylinder classes even came close, my YJ on 16x35 Boggers with a slipping t-case chain ate a Toyota on 38.5x16 Super Swampers (the reigning fan-participation champion) alive by 3 seconds and I was late off the line due to :drunk:. :cool:

    Second off, it's a trailer queen, it doesn't need road manners. :p

    I'm wondering if I could make them fit on mine by taking a 12lb sledge hammer to my firewall since Todd doesn't want to weld the sheetmetal for me. :rofl:

    Remove the fender, remove the wheel well liner, remove the coilover, jack up the LCA to the bumps, turn the tire to see where it contacts and start hammering until clearance is achieved. Sounds simple, lol.

    Might even be easier than I think if I went with wheels with 4.25" BS, since I'm running 33x13.50s now with 3.5" BS.

    Mine are LTBs. They're just 33x13.50 LTBs instead of 35x12.50s like Todd is about to let go.

    Thanks. I love them too, but if I'm going to let go of my front spool/locker, I wanna go to 35s to make up for lost capability and maybe not break so many CVs. When the stars align and I finally save enough to regear without some disaster happening that causes me to have spend the money on something else, I'll go with 4.88s with my rear detroit and a truetrac LSD in front and see how that works out on 35s. I'll probably still lose some, but if the front end is more reliable then it might be worth it. I already run most of the places we go in 2WD with limited exceptions. Hardrock, I don't really have the ground clearance or armor to play in the rock gardens. I just climb the hills there. On 35s and some belly armor with 4.88s, I might try the rock gardens though without front and rear lockers I might not do that well, but you never know.

    Haha, the more I think about it, the more plausible it seems though. I'm clearing (barely) 33x13.50s with 8" wheels with 3.5" back spacing now. With 35x12.50s, I'd only have to move the sheetmetal an inch or maybe less with the skinnier tire. That doesn't sound like it would be too hard. I have heard of some 3rd Gen T4R guys doing it that way. The only big issue would be I'd lose my washer fluid rez. I'd have to figure something else to do about that.

    Wanted to know your guys’ thoughts, I already have a steel winch plate, I know we can’t reallt weld steel to aluminum but what about welding steel and the winch plate all the way around the aluminum crash bar to make a hidden winch set up,@Timbo's Customs ? Kind of like. A tube to encase the crash bar in?
