Yesterday and this morning - Upgraded my comms. I had been using a Midland 75-822 and had a Baofeng UV-5RTP for scanning duties. I recently switched from a 4' Firestik back to an old 102" whip which boosted the hell out of the performance of the Midland. I decided to go with dedicated mobile rigs for both. Cobra 25 WX NW ST for CB and BTECH UV-25X2 for UHF/VHF.

    Put a dash cam in!

Although I'll need to finish the wiring next week as the power supply wire harness was messed up.... So this week I'll have an exposed cord hanging from the top of my windshield to the lighter socket :sawzall:

    HS 2" Lift Kit
Finished the lift today. Getting those leafs in and the centering pin into the perch so I could get the U-bolts in was probably one of the worst experiences of my life. But well worth it.

Started 21" for both sides front and 22" both sides rear.

Ended up with 2" exactly all around. We will see how much it settles. 23" both sides front and 24" both sides rear.

Went with @HeadStrong Off-Road Bilstein 5100 kit and their coils. Included a 1/4" spacer to compensate for Taco lean. Great kit. Had everything I needed to accomplish the lift. I am very happy with the results.

I had to use a bottle jack to lift the leaf springs, a scissor jack to push the leaf pack inwards, and a 36" pry bar to push the axle forward. The skecthiest thing I've ever done.

Used the fumoto valve for the first time. Never going back...not a single drop of oil on the skid when I used to make a huge mess before. The fumoto haters Just don't know any better.

Also did a 5 tire rotation and greased the UCA zerks.

Dang, that sounds like the difficult way! Whenever I do rear leafs, I have two jack stands under the rear hitch lifting the body as high as it'll go. Then have the rear axle as low as it'll go on a floor jack. With the axle juuuust under the leafs, you can just wiggle the axle around by hand until it lines up.
