    What size Philips were you using? Maybe try a #3 Philips, or a Flathead that fits in one of the slots?

    I was using a smaller head when I stripped it, but most recently when I tried to salvage it I was using a #3. It almost turned it, but I think it’s too far gone.

    See if you can grab it with vicegrips. If not, another option is to cut a slot in it with a dremel or cut off wheel. Make sure to protect the paint from sparks. Then use a straight screwdriver.

    There have been cases where it seems Toyota used super human straight/and or jb weld on the gas door screw.

    My suggestion: spray it with some on blaster/solvent, then use a #3 Phillips on an impact gun. Stabilizing the door from the back with you other hand, use a fair amount of pressure and cross your fingers.
