Went to Home Depot to grab some drill bits and a punch that needed for a Taco-related mod.......and also came home with 20 bags of Kingsford charcoal.

    Great weekend sale this weekend.

Accuwether app helped me time things perfectly between the rains, lol.

    Hawaiian staple!

Rice, burger patty, brown gravy (usually mushroom), and a fried egg to top it off.

"Roast" lemon pepper chicken. Mashed potatoes and gravy (from the chicken broth) and lemon pepper chicken salad, not to be mistaken for lemon pepper chicken salad.

My family is in and out this weekend.

Yesterday afternoon found me cooking for one......well three if you count me and the dogs, who scarfed down the leftovers.

    Onion cutting tunes locked in.....

Diced & sliced....then carmelized the onion and added the 'bellas, course ground pepper and balsamic vinegar and let it reduce a bit. Made for a mighty tasty baked tater topping.

Ribeyes had been soaking in a quick steak magic mix (Montreal Steak Seasoning, olive oil, soy sauce, coffee).....took one out and threw it on the grill.

    Added a stuffed clam, too.

It was tolerable.....but overcooked. The dogs really seemed to like it, lol.

I hate an overcooked steak. Reminder to not answer the phone when a steak has been thrown on the grill.:frusty:

Quick and easy breakfast this morning. B-E-C goodness with some tasty mustard. This should hold my crowd for a while.

These things are easy and tasty. I don't fool around with trying to make them from scratch any more.

    Yup.

Leaps and bounds above the canned stuff.

A few different flavors and sizes, too. Too dang easy....oven preheated....toss 'em in....cook other stuff while they do their thing.

No flour mess everywhere....nothing to clean up.

Someone told me you can roll out the can ones. Get them flat and cook them on a greased camp stove for a quick pan-bread. That’s the next time I’ll pop open a can of biscuits.

People. Google fresh made Horchata. Stupid easy and it is effen amazing. You control the sugar, so it’s not cloyingly sweet unless you want it to be.

Tip: use Calrose rice instead of long grain.

    They work well.

Prevent flare-ups but allow for superhot sears.

    I've had a set for a few years now....made for 24" grills.

The grill marks are sort of a novelty.....they look cool. They do give a nice char to the wet rub I use on steaks, though.

The flare-up prevention is nice if you have the lid off the grill with burgers......

Occasionally I'll add diced up onions & jalapeños into the burger patties....they get somewhat loose and hard to handle, so I'll flip a GrillGrate upside down and cook on the flat surface, making it really easy. Fat drips through and hits the coals and drives the neighborhood into a feeding frenzy. Nothing beats burger smoke !!!!

Blue cheese & shrooms with cheese over it all.....the mess simply burns off the GrillGrates.
