My 4wheeling days started with old bias ply tires. Most popular were the Gateway "Gumbo Mudders". They would flat spot after a few minutes in one spot....Then shake the paint off your truck before they'd straighten out.

I avoid flat spots by maintaining a bit higher pressure than some people run. (36psi)

I'm running 28/25 psi. My truck is only an access cab without any armor to weight it down. If I run a higher psi, the truck wanders a bit on the highway, and gives a harsher ride. I had run ~34/32 on my S/T Maxx tires, and had noticeably worn down the center tread. Both tires being 285/75R16

I'm on 8" wide rims. If I run under 32 psi I get severe cupping on front tires. Also a lot of wear on outer edges. (285/75r16s)

Also.... 268 mile road trip yesterday. + 8 hrs off road. Did 16.25 mpg on road going down. Filled up before starting home. Drove 5mph slower. Did 16.8 on homeward leg.

Not ultra accurate, but pretty dang close.

My Tacoma sat at San Jose airport parking lot for 8 days. Didn’t feel any flat spots. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another set.

I almost went with another (3rd) set of Maxx's, but decided to give this tire a try based on many reviews saying how road friendly it is compared to other MT tires. I'm not disappointed.

Rotated tires yesterday. 285/75r16's LR E (10K miles) worked 5th tire (spare) into rotation. So far, 3/32" wear measured on 4 I started with (this set, 2nd set I've owned) Spare is/was new. It's on left front now. Excellent ride (with 34 psi) Noise level still same as new. No cupping, no unusual wear. Only complaint is mpg's dropped (on first set too) Still north of 16 for normal driving, as much as 18.7 on highway (cruise set at 65, level roads) They out perform every tire I've compared them to (on friends trucks) in the mud and on rocks. Several IDENTICAL equipped trucks can't hang with me in the mud. Either I'm awesome or the tires are....(or BOTH!)

Absolutely IN LOVE with these. So happy I went with them instead of Nitto Trail Grapplers. The Nitto’s are great tires I’m sure but these Cooper’s weigh about 12lbs less in the same size. They track so straight and smooth on road. On start up at slow speeds you can feel some knobs and on poor road surfaces you can hear them but it’s not even loud enough to where a passenger might think you have “loud tires”. The biggest suprise to me is how supple they are for such a heavy duty E range tire. I’m at 34psi rn and they couldn’t be even the slightest bit stiff or harsh. I’m so happy I went with these. 285/75/16. I paid only $186/tire BEFORE rebates thanks to a great deal at discount.

I almost bought a set of these last night during eBay's 15% off + DTD's 5% off sale. I found out about these sales too late and decided to wait till October for the twice a year sale. How did you get them for $186 a tire? Are they running a different sale?

One of the members of one of my local Facebook Toyota groups posted “pm me for pricing” and showed the signage at his store for the 4th of July sales. I pm’d him and he gave me a better price than you can find anywhere online or in store. And I got a $75 rebate on top of that. Not sure if he gave me “friends and family or even employee pricing or what

Out a set of these on my taco, and as much as I love the traction off road, the longevity of this tyre is shockingly low. I’m at 45,000kms or 30,000 miles and they are shot (these are not pavement princess tyres, my truck is used daily off-road), Of that mileage 50% is gravel roads, 25% Death Valley and 25% mix asphalt and dirt/ groomed for roads . I’m now at the point I’m getting 1-2 flats a week in the tyre and I’d say I have about 25% if tread life left.

Anyone else having issues with the tyres? Not overly impressed with them.

They are mud tires. Not highway tires. I did get 52k out of a set. Keep rotated. Balance every 20k.

After owning other mud tires I'm extremely impressed with mine. On 2nd set.
