Finally had a chance to install some headrest iPad/tablet mounts that have been sitting in my garage forever.

So, I have been trying to sort out interior storage/organization and found a couple of good ideas of replacing the rear 60 seat with a flip-up platform. Before I ran to Home Depot to get the items I needed to do the deed, I went through the garage to see what I already had on hand. That's when I spied the pallet that my SOS skids had been delivered on. I decided to repurpose the pallet for the platform!

Not too shabby if I say so myself. I've got stuff that I should rarely need under the platform (jumper cables & tools accessible by flipping up the 40 seat, bags with bungee cords & ratchet straps accessible by opening the passenger door). I still want to seal it and add some tie down points to strap down my cooler and other gear that will be back there.

I also met my wit's end yesterday with the craptastic velcro straps on the Smittybilt RTT. I had one strap come loose twice in 5 minutes yesterday, so I rigged a bungee cord to hold the strap in place. Today, I cut off the original straps and replaced them with mil-spec webbing and buckles that I attached to the bed rack. I need to pick up some more tri-glide slides to finish up the webbing management, but I'm much happier with it now.

I wanted to go with the "bronze" Level 8's. When they came in, they were more gold than bronze so I went with the gunmetal instead.

Remove your drain plug. Replace with the Fumoto valve (it screws in just like your drain plug). The Fumoto valve has a lever you just slide open when you want to drain your oil. Once all the oil is drained slide the lever to the closed position. You're done. No mess, easy peasy.

If you really want to see an improvement, clean your throttle body and MAF. There’s a thread for it on here. Easy to do.

They were given to me at a trade show by a manufacturer a couple years back that was trying to get our company to distribute them in the US. They're available through Toyota in the Middle East and Asia but not here.

Very nice - would love to hear your secrets. There are many out on the internet, but your photo is worth 1000 words. But - just asking for 500 words. Thanks.

It’s a 3” lift. 5100s all the way around, ome 885s up front with a 1/2” spacer on drive side and a 1/4” spacer on passenger side, aal in the rear with shims to fix the drive line vibs. Didn’t intend to go full 3” but after the shims and spacer to six the lean, that’s what it ended up being lol. Tires are 264/70/17... I need to go bigger

Changed out the spark plugs for Ozzy's 50,000 mile birthday. Denso TT iridiums on my 4 banger took about an hour. Old one weren't terrible but needed replacing.711D89F0-E71E-434A-B4FD-F779C7C828D1.jpg

Looks good ! I'm about to install my lift - 5100's (front & back), HS Coils, HS 3 AAL (keeping over load), HS 1/4" top plate spacer on the driver side - 265/75/16's on 16x8.5 rim. Aiming for a level look, but from what I have been reading it looks like I may be at a little higher up than I intended.
