This stuff is a satin finish that still shows the colors and decals but is like a clear bra for the whole vehicle. It looks and sounds like a good idea but it is labor intensive and runs around 5K on average

 

If it’s like a clear bra, I wouldn’t do it. Every application I’ve ever seen of the clear bra eventually starts getting dirt in around the edges. It looks great for a few years, but seems to fail over time.is that stuff any better than a vinyl wrap as far as durability?

 

Went do bed with all of the windows open because it was 90°. Wake up freezing to 55°.

 

The reviews say it is but I dont know enough about it. How long has it been around, what kinda testing has it seen, is it remo able after a few years or in the event of an accident. To many unknowns for me

 

I’d rather ball out on a 2k ceramic coat that comes with a 5+ yeAr warrenty

This is suspension install #5 between the two of us. We work real wel together.

 

Got an alignment done today and the techs were in awe at how clean the undercarriage was. Thanks to @surfandturf and FluidFilm.

 

found some tires for sale. 255/85/16 at more then 80%. if I bought them is it too late to start rotating a new spare with them?

 

Nah. If they are the same size then go for it. Put the one with the most wear as your spare

 

Back home safe and sound from TX. Hot as fuck down there, cold as fuck up here. Damnit!

 

Yup pretty darn good highest I saw was like 212f for a second. Kept it at 55-60mph. Tenni stayed mainly around 185-203

 

And done.

It’s not nose high, my driveway is sloped. The ECGS bushing is a chore but no rumbles is key.

Also, the smell of used gear oil deserves its own special place in hell.

Are you doing the ECGS yourself? I need it done. I just lifted and I get some humming when I drive cold.

 

I sort of like the smell of gear oil it smells nasty, but there’s something soothing about it.

 

Looks killer! Where at?

 

I did it with the help of a friend. He set the puller for me as I don’t trust myself doing that, and we traded off on the install.

The humming, assuming it goes away with 4HI engaged means you need it. @BostonBilly did my 2G one for me. I took a crack at this one with my friend who is way better mechanically than I am

Yeah 4HI makes it go away. I Pm'd @tacobell007 because I heard he does it for a good price but I'd go to anyone. He is out west by my parents but if anyone is closer that'd be great. l'm willing to pay someone to install. I'm beat from installing the lift.

 

Mmm burned gear oil is even yummier....
