Should be about twenty pedal cycles per corner starting the farthest away from the master. Do not ever pump up the pedal before opening the bleeders. If You pump the pedal it creates foam in the lines and will keep the system full of air. I see way to many people pump the pedal and never get the air out. It's a bitch for sure to bleed the whole thing but it's a must do right the first time sort of thing. And yes you will use a ton of fluid.
My thinking is that done once no matter how long it takes. It's not worth losing them at that critical moment and I may not be the only one that is affected at that time.

The pistons are bigger. You will definitely have more pedal travel before they engage because it takes more fluid to move the pistons. I could never get my first gen to feel right with the 13wl calipers. 13we may have different results but that’s why I went back to stock tacoma calipers.

Did you bleed the load-sensing-proportion-valve ( LSPV) as well?

Is there a separate bleeder for that? I assumed it would bleed with bleeding the rear brakes

I have not bled the LSPV myself, but was aware of it.
Funny thing, though. My FSM (for a 1999) does not mention bleeding the LSPV, but my Haynes manual does.

I read somewhere (Marlins site maybe), that the bleed ing might be a bit different than what we're used to. There might be a fixed bleeder (covered with the little rubber cap) and a nearby, but separate, little bolt to back off for bleeding.

Appreciate all the input gents. Went out and did another manual bleed this afternoon (truck was sitting all night and morning so hopefully the bubbles all settled). Not sure where to work in the lspv in the bleed but went right rear, lpsv, left rear, right front, left front. Got a couple bubbles out. Feels a lot better. Going to repeat for the next few days. Hopefully with heat cycles and repeated bleeding, she'll feel better. A lot less pedal travel now before you feel the fronts start grabbing. But they still feel a bit mushy like a f550. That may be normal with the oversized calipers. I'll keep updating.

IIRC you are supposed to bleed the LSPV first, then rr, lr, rf, lf.

You can swap in the master from the older t100 which has a larger 1” bore also.

Won't that negatively affect the rear though?

Figured I'd throw it out there. If anyone wants to join, my lil family will be headed up to @Fernando's second home to do some cleanup and wheeling tomorrow. Just a little day trip.
