Gears + labor are going to be ~2500-3k installed. Not cheap but it’s night and day with large tires.

That's one set. You need 2, and install kit. 2 of those .
If you just drop off the truck, turn key, yes. I was quoted 350 by one shop and 400 by another if I drop diff's off w gears.
That would put me at $1500-1600 for gears and labor to install gears. I would pull and install the diff's. That saves a ton.

Yeah no shit. And not everyone needs two. That’s why I said the actual ring and pinion are only a few hundred bucks. Install kits are a separate item.

Then.....YOU would need 2...if doing a 4x4....and JUST getting gears...won't cut it. Unless you feel you are ok with that. Then good luck

Depends on the tire really. 255/80r17 cooper st maxx are $208 shipped whereas 285/70r17 are $266 shipped. The options are super limited though.

For the love of GOD, IF you go with 35's, please do not start a thread titled "Why do my MPG suck????" I have seen so many MPG complaints and you look at the trucks and they have about 1,000 lbs of added weight as well as monster tires and then can't figure out why they are getting 12 - 13MPGs.

Front and rear have to be SAME ratio. Change one and you have to change other to match.....

    Stock - for now

I know this is an old post but I've seen several post this comment "a lift won't help clear larger tires".... Makes absolutely no sense - since what is rubbing is the inner fender and that lifts up when you lift the truck.... Exaggerating here, but If I were to put a 10" lift on, I'd easily clear 35's...

Lock to lock is just backspacing - easy fix

A lift does not help clear anything due to the fact that your control arm will still compresses to the bump stop.
