I was always thinking it would be cool have it come off the rock sliders where the kickout it so you can access the top racks on the cab or cap. it would might get annoying on the back bumper unless its a swingout style, but again, its just something else to swing out of the way to open the tail gate. could also do it off the side of the rear bumper I guess, where some guys have hoops

I set up and installed a 3rd member with a Detroit locker and 4.56's in a Ford 9 inch rear about 35 years ago. Wasn't all that difficult. If @EatSleepTacos already has it set up and is just installing it, it should be a piece of cake

 

Yeah it should be easy! Just disconnect the driveshaft, pull both axles, and unbolt 3rd member.

 

Man, fuck people! So I get a notification on my phone for every transaction that takes place with my AMEX credit card. I got two notifications for $1.35 and $1.89 to a charity in NC. I immediately called AMEX to let them know that I didn't make those charges, and they were going to monitor them to see if they posted. Then after I got off the phone, I saw a $1 charge to stubhub. I knew something was up, so I cancelled my card.

Two second later, I got an email from AMEX asking if I was trying to spend $2,300 at stubhub. I called them, and got it all sorted out. The thieves got thwarted, and all charges have been disputed and a new card will be here in a few days. Those fuckers.

 

Have had that happen a few times. Hate a theif!

 

Seriously! Makes my blood boil. Just glad it’s taken care of.

I dont think you take the axles all the way out. I think you pull them a couple inches. After disconnecting all of your ABS lines/brake lines of course
