yup, same here. i tell the new people if they cant tell me how exits there are and location of the emergency fans and fire suppression handles and simple general safety stuff your fired. i dont have the time to waste on hand holding or doing there job on top of mine. we can get by with a 3 person team, but my boss wants 4 people per team, everyone else thinks im to hard on new people. but i dont want a death or be killed myself so your damn right im going to be tough.

edit: and i do give my team extended breaks and once a month we have pizza or whatever. i work just as hard as them and i make sure that i take care of them and that there safe. i check there equipment before every shift so i know that there safe to work. and if need be i get them replaced. i hate when i see other bosses only care about the bottom line and not check on there employees.

Don't know how many of you bother cleaning your engine, I typically don't go past a good pressure washing on the truck. But I did on the cruiser and I have to say the gunk original step one cleaner is good, but if you have an engine bay with lots of bare aluminum you can pretty much skip their engine shine protectant stuff. Looks nicer but not worth the can of shine I don't think.

Does anyone know if the hose coming off of the fuel pressure regulator has fuel in it or is it a vacuum line?

Which one, there are two. The bigger one is fuel return, the small one is vacuum.

Sorry. I meant to add “the bottom one”....damn. That one needs to come apart so I can get this cover out from under it.

Which engine? Pretty sure on either engine the bottom one is the fuel return but I'd rather check the FSM for you to be sure. I know for a fact on the 4cyl that the bottom one is fuel return, there will be fuel there but no pressure. Just cap the line off after removing it.

Torque for days, it's like a diesel in that regard. It's geared suoer low in the cruiser so once it gets past about 3k there's isn't much more before another gear. It redlines at 5k haha, but damn can it pull even loaded with my trailer. Torque peak is somewhere around 1900-2200 if I remember right. Plus it is smooth, can't even feel it running at idle.

Where does motor oil go after going through the top end? Does it go back to the pan? Then through the filter before it goes anywhere else?

Oil drips back down from the top to the pan, it is sucked up by the pickup from the pan pushed through the filter and to the all the galleys in the top and bottom end, it eventually makes it ways back to the pan and the cycle starts again.

If you have a V6 it also goes through an oil cooler around the same time as it is being filtered.
