Yeah, pretty much the reason why I went with SR instead of SR5. If I had bought last year I would have went with SR5.

 

Hey are the SR and SR5 Models the only Tacoma Headlights that DONT have the LED Strip from stock as their DRL Function.

Im trying to see if this will fit on the ones that have the LED Strip as well. I know these are made for the NON led version however just wondering if anyone know if there is different connections

Hello I'm new hear, this is my 2016 4x4 v6 SR. This is how I bought her from the stealership.

 

Still doing basic truck stuff, summers finally coming to interior Alaska and the wife wants to do some gardening.


Started raining on the way home so I’m off the hook for real work till tomorrow .

 

I would have liked the 6 speed manual, BUT I paid $30,000 for my SR with Auto, Convenience pkg, Tow pkg, mats with only 5 miles on it. I didn't know you could get the manual in the SR. I would have gone fleet if I knew.

Those are stock, they come like that on all offroad, and pro models. I believe you could add them to an SR, though. I think they use clips, and an adhesive tape, to avoid rubbing.

Finally have had time to chime back in on forums with my updated 2.7L/5MT camping build. Cap is an ARE MX series. Thinking of adding a set of sumosprings to help with the sag in the rear. Total clearance with boats on roof is still under 9’ too!

 

400+lbs added to the truck since I purchased it. Roughly 1/4 of the bed full of firewood, 2 dogs, 2 people and a fully loaded Aliner Expedition(3200-3500lbs). Pulled it from home, and through the Pocono mts. The 5MT SR did not disappoint.

 

'17 SR 2.7 4x4 5MT w/ utility package. She's been good to me this first 10k miles!
Just a few simple mods, I dont plan to do too much more to it (window vent visors & a bug shield for front of hood are in the mail).

Excellent build! Hey what type of roof rack are you running over your cab? I know attaching to the cab can be a bit of a pain on the access cab trucks.

 

Not jacking the thread but I have an excellent pair of TRD Sport headlights that are modified to run the DRL LED on SR and SR5 models. If anyone in VA might be interested then pm me.
