    Hey yall,
Had a 2012 and sold it a few years ago. Regretted it since. Picked up a silver, ‘18 TRD Sport a month ago. Good to be back. Smaller than I remember. Ha! It came pretty well equipped. Not much I had to do to it that I otherwise would have. Factory bed cover and all weather mats.

Added some matte black American flags, because, you know. America.

Installed Bartact seat covers ( black with grey) and upgraded with Hondo knobs.

Looking to maybe add some HP.

Yet larger than what you had. Hate it when memories are better than reality. Happens to me all the time. o_O

Good luck with your quest. Proceed with caution. There is lot's 'o bucks to be spent with negligible gain for the unaware.

    Welcome back.

Appreciate the welcome. As far as HP, not looking for anything crazy. Maybe just exhaust and intake to open it up a bit. Took it camping on the VA/NC border. Had a few hills on the interstate that had me wishing the V6 had some more oompf. Was only hauling about 600 lbs of gear or so in the bed.

As far as size. Yes. Bigger than the Focus it replaced.

Looking at getting a camp shell. Oh the pissibilities.

My wife was definitely making fun of me for geeking out on the Hondo knobs.

    Welcome back to the family.

Yeah, my wife was looking at me like I had lost my mind when the Hondo Garage vent ring for my cell phone mount arrived.

Ive read plenty about how awful Entune and nav is... Im co sidering the mount for dedicated phone/gps duty OR this mirroring kit. Avoiding this kit on the hopes a CarPlay function comes down.

    Welcome.

I've had surprisingly good experiences with the OEM nav. We had a long road trip (NC>FL>TX>FL>NC) and the factory nav did well. The only thing it lacked in was traffic or when there was an accident. It predicted slow/stop-n-go traffic ahead but sometimes after we were already mired in it. My bride ran her Waze ap for more real-time report on traffic, LEOs, accidents, etc

And......... how often do you get free updates?

Those original maps won't be good forever.

As I suggested in post 4.......

There's nothing to 'open up'. OEs rarely leave cheap power on the table any more, and you already have a true CAI.

You might research OVTune as an option. Not cheap, but several folks claim it's effective.

Thanks for the gouge Bill. Thats a bummer but I will start my research.

Bruce, agreed on the OEM Nav. Not terrible, just not terribly intuitive or ergonomic.

True. I'm that guy who always opted for a Garmin with lifetime maps for a few hundred bucks over a factory nav unit. I have noticed the Entune push two rather large updates updates in the few months that I've had this truck. Map updates? I'm not sure.
