Why does it seem impossible?

Been looking at trading my 16 4runner on a Tacoma for a variety of reasons(mainly, I do a lot Kayak fishing, and have a bad back before 30 unfortunately, and lifting my kayak onto the T4R has become a bigger chore than my back appreciates).

I want a DCLB OR with Tech and Premium packs(and nothing else) in Cement, Silver or White(in that order)... I technically fall into SE Toyota, but refuse to deal with any of the dealers that use them, and since I am right on the VA boarder, I have access to other dealers that aren't part of the SET Cartel.

I've spent the better part of the last few weeks calling/visiting most of the dealers within an hour or so, and checking dealer website inventories for most of the dealers in a 200 mile radius, and so far nothing... had to dealers somewhat local actually tell me they don't order DCLB's in OR trim because "People buying the OR trim don't ever want the LB and they can't sell them"

Your gonna have to order it. No big deal. Yea they don't order them to stock the lot but they can get you whatever you want.....

Yeah, find a better dealer. Mine had no problems getting me the truck I wanted.

They are probably just trying to get you to buy something they already have on the lot.

 

I have a blazing blue pearl DC LB premium tech and JBL. it was a unicorn. In the thousand or so that were made for the pacific northwest/ west region in the first quarter of this year there were 12 total like mine and only two blue. Had to wait but glad i did. My dealer let me look over his shoulder at the selection screen while he put in all the parameters so there was no slight of hand. Find a specific person and work with them to get what you want. Its worth the wait

I agree with your dealer long beds are terriable. I think gross they ruined that truck every time I see one. Get the short bed MT with a roof rack.

 

I would tend to disagree with you. I think Short Bed looked all squished together.

 

Several, dealers up in northern VA have very large inventories currently. Its a haul but, the volume up here could save you some big $$$. Im near Dulles Airport and the dealer i went to yesterday looking at 4runners had 40 tacomas

 

There’s certainly some truth to what the dealer is telling you. In Canada you can’t even buy a TRD OR long bed. Toyota decided for us 35 million Canadians, offering that configuration was a waste of time.

Yeah but we have the access cab TRD Off Road with manual transmission. But for real Toyota is weird how they only sell certain configurations in certain regions.

 

Yeah, but not one of the 325 Million Americans would possibly want that configuration.

There are a few dealers here In NorCal that have what you two are looking for .
