I was dealing with Mike Lebeda. I just got my truck back tonight and was going to give an update. This time I can say the experience was 100% better than my first experience. They listened and didn’t just write me off. Had a service tech ride with me when I dropped it off so they could check out the issues first hand. They gave me a new camry for a loaner car and it was actually really nice for being one of the more basic models. It sounds like they drove the truck quite a bit, ended up being a service bulletin for some plugs in the control arms due to complaints about noise in the front end, and they checked my trans fluid(it’s not just a dipstick on the third gens) and it was a little low so they addressed that as well. I actually ended up getting along with Mike really well, and left feeling really good about the experience knowing they did what they could. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back with any issues(hopefully I have none lol) in the future.

Good to hear they treated you right this time. I was going to say Ian Davis would be the one I would recommend talking with. He has been there for years. Helped me with the frame recall on my 97' Tacoma back in 2009. I believe he was there when I bought it from them back in 98'.

Question for some fellow salt belt folks... In the not so distant future I will need to replace my exhaust because it is rusting apart. Maybe as far forward as headers. I will be getting new cats. Should I get new O2 sensors? I assume the O2 sensors are fine but they are rusty...

If money isn't a issue you can never go wrong with more new parts honestly

I agree. Even if they’re fine, for the little amount that they cost in the scheme of things it’s a nice peace of mind to have. Especially if you plan on keeping the truck for any period of time.

Money is always an issue... I'd keep the existing cats except they are leaking.

Haven't been on for awhile. This weekend is the Memorial day weekend event at MIOBI. Anyone interested in going? Weather should be good. I am pretty sure I can go Sunday.

There unfortunately isn't a lot. MIOBI is a fairly close drive and has a lot of options. @Renaud33 is a lot more familiar with any trails in the area.

    Welcome to Iowa.

MIOBI is pretty much the only option that is legal. The other option I am aware of is to join the Iowa Jeep club. They have some land they use that is similar, but much smaller.

I didn't end up going to the event this weekend. Couldn't find anyone interested in going. I would like to go this coming weekend for a day if anyone is interested. It would most likely be Sunday since I have plans for Saturday night.

I can't go for a couple weeks as I will be on vacation. June 23 or 24 is a good possibility.
