South Carolina BS thread under new MANAGEMENT and lives in SC

The only time I noticed I was sweat g is when I had a backpack on. It's a crazy difference out there and I love it!

Yeah- I miss it. Feels sooo different from here!

 

This has been a humid year so far too!

 

I nearly drowned when I came back..

 

I grew up there so it only makes sense.

 

Let me tell you about Charleston humidity in July. After 7 1/2 hours flying back on a C-17 from Alaska we hit the deck at JB Charleston and the tail ramp opens up and my damn eye contacts fogged up. I shit you not. Had to bust out the eye drops to keep them clear.

Good morning all. About to go in for some 2x.

 

In a way we get 2.5x. I’m not actually getting paid 2.5x but I’m getting 8 hours regular time plus 9 hours guaranteed 1.5x.

Either way it’s hard to pass up.

 

After that you may want to look into a dining room table and chairs. I am digging the guys night card table look though!

All this talk about heading out west. My scouts are doing it twice this yr. once to Glacier hitting a bunch of places on the way there and back then again on the way to Philmont. Next yr they go to Northern Tier then off, road tripping to Alaska. I may be going for the Alaska trip at least part of the time. These road trips we take them on are 3-4 weeks usually and let them choose where they go that day. The boys get a chance to see places most won't. On one of our Alaska trips we drove all the way up the Dalton Hwy and "swam" in the artic ocean, swam is used loosely as it was more get your feet wet and get out the water was so cold.

 

Sounds like a great opportunity for the Scouts to earn the new Exploration merit badge.
