Still a sick shot none the less whoever it was. Damn that’s right I remember reading that somewhere. Just asking as I wasn’t sure if you were apart of a firm or something like that. My friends that did accounting always had good paying jobs. Normally statics is the class where guys see if engineering is for them as it’s a complete unknown to most and flat out either you are ok with suming up stuff or f that. Thermo two was fun cause it had an application with various motors and cycles...Thermo one can eat a fatty though.

You probably read it about a page back :D. Anyways, yeah it pays the bills and between my truck and my bikes, it inherently makes me 200% more interesting than my accounting coworkers.

I wanna say I read that like a while ago when you first left the area if I remember right. Man I spent damn near three years building up my fleet. I’m with ya on that, even as an engineer, accounting didn’t sound very interesting.

Could well be. As a finance guy, I couldn't stand helping my GF at the time with her accounting homework. I'd rather slit my wrists.

Then I got to my first interview, and they were like "how many accounting credits do you have?". The look on my face should have said it all, but one of my high school ahead-of-me-classmates was one of the interviewers and kindly reminded me of all the random classes at VT I had taken labelled ACCTXXX ...including a super easy powerpoint class.

That was the day I discovered the true power of networking!

Enough about me. the Sundance race is a week away! I even got a cameo in last year's hecklefest video (blue tank top guy)

Haha man that’s quite an interesting story and talk about small world how some guys you run into when you least expect it. So I assume your girl is an accountant nowa days? Not sure how your profession generally is with couples, but man the average female engineer is waaaaaayyyyy too ocd for me. At the same time though they tend to either date engineers or others that are on the same length with job pay it seems although that’s not surprising.

I need to check out that vid!

Some XC bro tried keeping up on some stuff last night at Windrock and ended up TKO. Cracked his helmet in half. He was lifeless for about 15 seconds

    Shit was scary

SLC also has I-street. Not a trail but a bike park built mostly by riders. Some really fun stuff there, at least when I was living there. Plenty of info on it if you look.
There’s also Arcylon, not far at all, which is super fun. Short, jumpy flowy trail you can loop.
And of course, the legend, Crest. Shuttles are cheap, and the trail is 20 something miles of amazing. 80% downhill.
And PC has miles galore of riding, only 20 or so minutes from SLC valley.

For sure. I left out I-Street, 9 Line, and Trailside since they aren't really "trails" but are definitely worth a shoutout.

Haven't ridden Arcylon, but I want to. Seen some good clips of that place.

Crest and PC at large is a great summer riding spot. 10-20 degrees cooler than the valley usually, and has a lot of great apres spots (Java cow ice cream ) I know this is sacrilege, but I thought Crest is WAY overhyped. Scenic sure, but that big climb before the spine kills all the fun for me. I'm gonna say it; Pinecone > Crest

Bear Trap Fork is a spicy way down off of Crest though! As you roll into the drop-in chute is like: what...the...FUCK...THIS IS STEEP!

Never ridden bear trap, but pinecone is super fun. The whole area has tons of fun riding, once it melts.
And Mueller Park, nothing amazing, but also can be fun.
There’s also “the B” and “the V” in Bountiful, built by the Canfields when they used to live up there. Not sure if it’s still there,or if there’s any info on it. When we used to ride it it was a secret trail, and someone had to show you the drop in, otherwise you’d never find it.

Beat the heat and got a great ride out at Muleshoe Bend west of ATX this morning.

I’ve got this thing dialed in like no other bike I’ve ever owned.
