Did anyone else have a new cap show up in the mail? I had one show up and it's perfect, no goo in there.

Same here. He sent the cap out cause some of us got caps that you can’t grip.

Got mine in from sportsmans yesterday. So far so good. No leaks and its holding pressure.

I'm selling a brand new Waterport from Costco as I've decided to stick with my original Waterport due to fit issues on the new one with my oem tonneau. $175 local pick up (Huntington Beach area). Box has been opened but tank was never filled or installed. Includes all mounting adapters and the $50+ drop down plate.

Mine came with a note saying the cap can break into pieces under pressure or something like that. Nothing about the grip.

So I got to play with the waterport yesterday, it's cool for what it is. I like it and customer service is top notch. It will come in handy this summer.

Installed mine. It's nice. I'm not so impressed with the mounting. There is a LOT of play when it's full. I can't imagine doing many rough roads let alone wheeling with it as is.

Fortunately, I've got a drawer system and putting a 1" board under it works for me so it doesn't wobble all over the place.

YMMV but I would definitely mount brace the mount below and not rely on just the rail mounts.

Really cool product otherwise. I can't wait to get my GFC so it's easy to access/fill from the side!

So I finally had time to install the drop down plate tonight and I’m disappointed that the screws won’t clear the bed wall so you are limited to one spot only and now I can’t mount the shower head. Am I doing something wrong? Did anyone else install it yet?

I fashioned a gauge so I can tell pressure level when filling/using.

Yeah I taped all the threads. Liquid filled keep vibrations to a minimum for the needle. Not really necessary here IMO. The one I got is a bit larger than I wanted at 2.5". I would suggest a 2" gauge.
