I’ve never been a huge fan of the cheese grater grille on the Lexus but I’m really thinking that the LC500 might have to be my next fun car. It looks really nice.

Looks like it would suck to clean out after hitting bugs, birds rabbits or a highway tumbleweed. Might not even survive the hit.

It's all subjective. The new Avalon has 2 different front ends. Both are big and bold. The Darth Vader one found on the XSE and Touring models looks better in person than in the pix.....IMO, of course.

It's cool. But no way. It would never meet the ever increasing and stringent pedestrian impact safety regulations. Those big, flat front ends with all that empty space between the plastic bumper cover and the radiator are here to stay on all newer vehicles. It's design to absorb energy and reduce the likelihood of a fatality in a low speed impact with a human being

Wow! 60 gallon fuel capacity......you could get lost for days without needing a gas station.

Wild build, that baby Cummins is probably pretty sweet.

Then how do you explain modern cars with much simpler designs? And yes this example is rear-engined but they have to follow the same impact safety regulations right?

Can't say exactly what it means for each manufacturer. However, the regulations haven't been fully implemented. Perhaps some are just being more proactive than others

I run an ARB winch bumper on my Taco...not too concerned with pedestrian safety. ;) :D Those cell phone zombies need to look both ways before crossing the street is what needs to happen. (it won't, but it should... :) )

That is so they can slide up the hood, bounce off the windshield and land on their feet. :D

It looks better in person than in photos. My wife could hardly get me away from it at the auto show this past winter.

yeah because 1200 dudes on the internet who are upsidedown on their trucks are gonna flood to dealers to buy these. meanwhile 99.9% of the car buying public is like what did you have this stored since 1980?
