Today was a good one for me. picnic at my sons. tons of food and all my family came. his father in law and i did some landscaping for them. I learned a new one. he mixes dye in his roundup so you can see where you sprayed. and i removed Yeti emblems for those that know why. have a good nite

...and I have done something similar. Not as extreme but close. Good road on either end but about 50 yards of rock shelf in the middle. I was driving a dump truck with the rear outside dual tire rubbing the bank and the other outside dual hanging out over nothing....and had to comeback because someone else screwed up.

Your opinion is popular with me, brother. Someone else did the recon, didn't consider that the dumptruck was wider the rest of the vehicles and I had 2 tail vehicles behind me that had to get through or my ass would have stayed on the good side. I didn't have a lot of time to think about it the first time but had plenty before the trip back...didn't matter, I couldn't hope that truck any narrower nor could I think that shelf any wider.

I remember some trails in the Anza Borrego Park back in the mid /late 90's that were hard core double Black Diamond rated . Then the Park Rangers and possibly BLM or someone like in @Martin64 position dynamited them . They did this because of having to get Goverment vehicles up these nasty trails to rescue stranded off roaders

These trails such as Coyote Canyon were a nice technical trail like the bypass section near Palm Canyon or the Turkey Track rocky sluice climb out of the canyon to Anza

These trails such as Coyote Canyon now are basically a graded gravel road now which is a joke as you can basically drive a 2wd vehicle thru it
