Looks good, what’d you use? Any issues with how it’s running afterwards?

That's kinda what I'm leaning towards.

What would a set up like this cost?

You'll have to confirm fitment but it'll give you a ballpark idea on cost - and I'm sure you can find it cheaper online other than Amazon but with Amazon, its there in 2 days (if you have Prime)

    Akebono - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000C1LL96/

    Brembo - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00L7TQMJ6

For the Brembo, even though the picture shows 2 rotors, its per rotor - you'll need to order 2.

I like the idea of upgrading my brakes to something beyond OE, but I think thats a little bit out of my price range haha.

I was eyeballing the Power stop KOE1233 kit on Rock Auto. Seems pretty well priced at $75. Anyone have any experience with this kit?

Do s runners have the weak normal 5lug rear axle or are they rocking the 8.4? Are your brakes 6 lug or 5 lug. Such a rare model I have no idea what equipment they have.

Its the 8.4 with 3.15 gears.

Srunner is a 5lug platform. stock it has toiko gas shocks, stiffer coils, 1” small tirers, bigger front sway bar, rear sway bar, tuned exhaust, interior package thats close to a limited, fully color matched outside and only came in black or red, alloy wheels, fiberglss fender flares. Im sure im missing some stuff buts that’s pretty much it

Neat, also 3.15 has to be a huge drag. I had 3.58s in my old truck and damn did it slow things down, with your bigger tires and lift that's gotta be tough on fuel.

the truck stock with the 3.15 gears i use break traction all the time if i luanched to hard. Even with these 30x9.5 i still can but i need to luanch hard. My fuel economy was never that great. Stock i got max like 250 miles in a tank if i drove only on the highway. I need to upgrade to 3.55 to correct my speedo but I haven’t really lost any mpg

I hear ya bud. I justify it in the sense that, well... its brakes. When that 'oh $hit!' situation comes up, I want to be sure I can stop on a dime, well - I don't mind paying the premium. Its like Lower Ball Joints - sure I could order some Auto Zone brand but in the end, do I really want to trust it over OEM? Just the way I see it. Everyone has their own way of looking at it and that's totally cool too.

Once you start adding weight and bigger tires oem doesn’t really cut it anymore unless its oem tundra breaks in a tacoma lol.

But if you don’t want tundra breaks or cant afford it then preformace pads are rotors are your best bet. But i wouldn’t trust some ebay or Amazon breaks, unless its name brand like stop tech, brembo, power stop.

I like the power stops, work great on my tacoma and just installed them today on a srt8 jeep and they worked great.
