Thats the back yard special ultra light, lightest plate bumper on the market lol requires super tall body lift to be installed though

 

Trying to decipher the IS300 “paddle shifters”. I have no need for pattern select switches so I’m attempting to wire the UP/DOWN buttons to control the stereo instead for volume and channel respectively. Issue is they’re wired in series for obvious reasons.

 

i have the kit with the coated, slotted &drilled rotors. It was very grabby for the 1st 50 miles, after break in it might be a little better than stock. I would do the tundra brake upgrade if I could do it over

 

i can attempt to find the wiring diagrams on TIS if you'd like just let me know what year it was out of

 

Oh that would be awesome. It came out of a 2002 Lexus IS300.



What’s confusing me is the cruise control, it’s three wires at the switch but only one wire is unique at the connector termination. The other two splice into what I assume is a ground wire connected to all five switches on the wheel.

You definitely make a good point. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't planning on going with the cheapest ones I could find, I just want something that has respectable stopping power but also doesn't brake the bank (pun intended).

I still have stock 31's and no added weight, so for the time being, I don't really see a need to do the tundra upgrade. I guess if I eventually do go with bigger tires, bumper, the whole niner, I can worry about brakes then, but that won't be for a few more years.

Good to hear that about the power stops, definitely considering them.

 

For the power stop price range they are the best on the market imo, their are better breaks but you are spending more money

PowerStops are great for the money. I’m running their Tundra pads and calipers, and Baer Performance Sport rotors.

Love the powdercoat on them too. Goes great alongside my powdercoated manual hubs.

Got her done. Fucked it up as well. First, I forgot O2 sensors heat them selves up. That got me good when I still had my keys in. And second and extremely shitty.. I need to get a new front cat lol. I didn’t get the bung put in at the right angle and the o2 sensor can’t go in because of the frame. Fuck my life.

 

Lmao yup 2 things wrong with it though. It's white and it's not closer to me

 

Consider POR15 paint. Really great stuff. I painted my front bumper and sliders with it. Finished em off with the POR Topcoat. Just a suggestion. Great work on the bumper. I hope to build one too.

 

Does POR15 have UV resistance? It may fade pretty quick.

So I've got an inner tie rod loose. I don't wanna start OEM vs whatever debate, but is there a major difference in OEM tie rods or would I be good with a parts store one for half the price?

 

Maybe they are all tied together as part of the CC cutoff. So if you decide to shift in CC it cuts and you are able to shift.
