    Parts were likely on their way out. With all the Dana 44 solid axle toughness, the front knuckle still pivots on ball joints no larger than the ones on the Taco. Fortunately the CAA-contracted flatbed was able to get in. Otherwise the tow bill would have been hideously expensive.

    Got my aluminum skid unbent and cut it up some more with angles to make it stronger. Lost an 1” of clearance with it like this but it’ll be much stronger and doesn’t hang any lower than the stock one already.

    @llamasmurf

    Also got this far, had to work on the weekend. Still need to complete welding. Reinforce and get the shackle tabs on it.

    So I got the bad news today. I'm officially out for Ardbeg in June. @Norilsk
    Kinda doubt I'll make it out at all this year. :(

    Theres a few large ponds along scotch line in minden. I remember about half way a large water crossing , stick to the left. It’s probably 75ft long. Theres a big pond attached to it to canoe on.

    Ryan (Dodge) and I are planning on coming up. Might just come up early Saturday morning a do the Black Lake loop. We’ll bring the camping gear in case we stay for the night. The black flies will be insane. Head nets will be mandatory.

    Is anyone going up on the Friday to nab the good site?

    omg are the black flies going to be insane.

    Last night I went out and tried to help a local find one of their lost wiener dog's. I stood in the back of the truck calling to him while the wife drove down the trails. We did not find him.:pout:

    The swarm of flies that got me each time we came to a stop was intense. I broke down and put bug dope on, I never do. :anonymous:

    They are only getting thicker each day and night o_O
