    Not so much "to" but "with". Finally started some work on the outside of the house we bought last year. Removed some overgrown shrubs and made quick work of the stumps with the taco.
    Before:

    After:

    Aftermath that I hope my town picks up:

    Then for a lowe's run for lumber to start a basement project

    Now just waiting for it to stop raining for more then a day or two to give it a nice coat of wax after the crap winter we had which seem to just end about 3 weeks ago.

    Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
    Same here. As I mentioned in another post, it got up into the mid-90s over the weekend and I had just stopped cursing the salt the road crews were putting down because of the snow/ice.

    By the by, don't know about where you live, but here the city contractor won't pick up those roots because they can't feed them directly into the chipper.

    Nice house and lot, proper landscaping makes a huge difference.

    Question . Is there a thread with all the Gen 3 TSBs listed?

    A few minor things...
    My speakers just arrived and the deadener is coming tomorrow!

    I have been looking everywhere if I should remove the vapor barrier or not, and looks like I don't have to!

    Thanks!

    Now to learn how to take apart a door...

    I hope these work. This light bar is a little heavy.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LPR5VQO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    I am not a fan of adding more holes to the roof and I am not sure once you have the roof rack installed you can piggy back any mounting brackets under it. My other option is to mount the light bar to my Thule roof basket and then that tot he roof rack cross bars. I would need to add a weather proof connector tot he wiring though because I will not want to run with the roof basket all the time.

    Haven't done a thing with my 3rd Gen yet today.....but the day is young.

    Just glanced out the window at it sitting in the rain.

    Chemical Guys Black Light Sealant & Butter Wax are doing their thing. Water is beading up & running off nicely.

    Was being lazy this morning and catching up on some unwatched favorite shows on the DVR.

    Spotted a sweet looking Quicksand 3rd Gen on the latest episode of SEAL Team.......

    Don't get me wrong......I love my black model......but the QS color has grown on me to the point where if I was buying all over again today.....I'd do things different.

    1) I'd not buy the Rav4 for the wife, but get a 4Runner.
    2) Her 4Runner would be black.....my taco would be Quicksand.

    Good grief those little Rigid Ignites are superbright !!!

    Did you do the installation yourself ?

    I really like the low profile appearance of them.

    Sweet looking Taco.

    The Panther color scheme will look badass. I've had some great fun in their stadium over the years.

    Can you tell much difference after the speaker swap ?

    Great use of your truck.

    Glad to see you took the time to properly strap down the load. I see idiots almost daily on the interstate who just toss stuff back in their beds and haul ass at 80mph with the wind doing what it does....nothing strapped down. Idiots.

    I hear ya.

    Shipping updates showing my door speakers arriving sometime tomorrow.

    Uncertain when the dampener material will arrive. Amazon showing it has shipped from NJ-to-GA but showing an arrival date of May 31st -June 5th.

    Gotta work tomorrow through next Tuesday so it's looking like I'll have 4 fairly involved mods to do next Wednesday & Thursday on my days off.

    * hood struts

    * light bar

    * ditch lights

    * door speakers

    Maybe the weather will cooperate and the rain hold off this afternoon....I can at least get the hood struts installed......mabye.....

    I really need to study up on removing the door panels and specifically how to remove/replace them without screwing up the lock or window controls.....gonna search around here and on youtube.

    I'll PM you any links that I find to be really helpful.

    I did the redline hood struts in 30 mins by myself. Do yourself a favor and buy drill stops so you don't put nice dents in your hood... like I might have done...

    Ditch lights and light bar are next weekends problem.

    I did the install myself, which was pretty easy. I thought I would use the back up harness kit from rigid as well, which was a mistake. I spent more time modifying the harness and making it look factory than building my own harness would have been. I soldered every wire, I kept saying to myself "I'm already at this point, may as well keep going".

    They are extremely bright, pictures dont do a lot of justice. A few other people have used them, if you want to see other examples.

    I may pick up a set of those stops.

    I was planning on simply wrapping several layers of Gorilla Tape around the bit about 1/4" from the end.

    I bought a pair of new "metal cutting" bits for the task.

    Start with a tiny pilot drill, buy the collars because it's an awkward angle and it'll save you the agony of seeing little dimples every day. $8 for peace of mind!

    If the drill bits are the "built in pilot" type like dwalts, skip them. They're too grabby for thin sheet metal. That's why I put the dents in my hood... Get some jobber length HSS bits (you only need a small pilot and the size of the rivet if you're on a budget)

    Hellsyes !!!!

    Quit that. Quit tempting me to even think about another way to spend money on this truck.

    By the time I'm done with this freaking Taco, I'll have spent as much as I'll likely spend on my next truck F250 SuperDuty Limited 4x4.....will hopefully use it to haul a camper around to all the states I care to see. Retirement dreams.

    Until then....at least I know what's on my stereo when I run errands later on.......

    Thanks for the help.

    I'm convinced to head out and get the drill bit stops !

    Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
    Oh wait... I have done something to my Tacoma today...

    I drove it. For the first time.

    "Wait, haven't you had it for a while?"

    Yep, since the middle of February.

    "...and you've never driven it?"

    Nope. Just sat exactly where the driver for the carrier parked it in the driveway.

    "Not even at the dealership?"

    Nope. Bought via emails/phone calls from an out-of-state dealer and had it trucked up here. Had to. Can't get an AC around here.

    "That's insane."

    Maybe, but I'm happy thus far.

    "So why haven't you driven it?"

    Bought used, but in like-new condition, and I hate road salt and the resulting rust that much. Taking it in for rust-proofing soon, maybe next week.

    I was actually kinda' impressed. Got up early and put some plates on it. Got in, turned the key and it fired right up (I was expecting the battery to be drained by now). With my foot on the clutch, I took off the e-brake and it rolled back in the driveway (I was also expecting the brake pads to be rust-welded to the rotors). Drove it in to work. No surprises there, pretty much what I was expecting.

    Hilarious!
    You endured your resistance to drive it with great fortitude that 99.98% of us on here couldn’t do!
    Congrats on new Taco!
