Ended up ordering the Purple mattress after talking with @SC2SC a bit. Seems we both have bad shoulders so hopefully this helps relieve some of my constant pain.

I already sit way inside so I only have to paddle twice. It usually works. Or I get sucked over the falls. Either way, makes for a good time

Still trying to do something the weekend of june 29th. Friend of mine since I've known since middle school is driving down. He's a rather sheltered individual and has never really been out of the state of Indiana.

    Thinking some lite trails somewhere.

I don't know, TBH. I'll ask when she gets home. I have the video of the hill climb but it didn't come out very well.

I want to ask this here, because I know y'all are very knowledgeable about suspension, and I feel like I'll get a better answer here, quicker then I would elsewhere.

So I picked up sandman's, and Jimbo's suspension and I'm curious how it works. I got the ome n140s front shocks matched with 885 X Springs. I put them side-by-side to my Factory coilovers and they're The Identical length. There compressed lengths are also very similar. So how do I actually achieve lift with this setup, and do I really gain any additional suspension travel? I just jacked the front of my truck up with Factory suspension and I didn't even get a full 3 in of droop, so how do I get a 3-inch lift and still maintain a reasonable amount of droop? I've been cruising this form for years, but this is the first real lift kit that I've installed and I guess I just don't really understand what my gains are besides height. I thought that this setup would give me additional travel as well.

I'm still super excited about installing this kit, I guess I'm just trying to better understand what I'm getting.

Also this is voice to text so don't mind any errors please.

Compare the length of the coils side by side. The 885s should be longer than stock. I dont know if any of these lifts give extra overall travel, unless you go long travel which is a huge undertaking. Hope more chime in and let me know if i missed on any points

Both my original coilovers and the omes are assembled but I think I remember seeing a pic and they are longer.

So I just measured my truck sitting, and fully drooped. I got 21.75 and 24 respectively. I think most guys get 20-21" in front. My 3rd gen trd suspension did give me a little lift I guess. So i do have a full 3 inches or so of droop over stock height, but at a 3 inch lift id have no droop at all. That just doesn't make sense to me, I have to be missing something.

Somehow I get about the same situation in the rear. About 4 inches of static droop, with a 3 inch expo leaf pack and n182 shocks going on. The good thing about the shocks is I get an additional inch or so of length over stock, but that still doesn't give me much droop with the lift on.

Higher spring rate/heavier coils, shocks don't lift unless it's like the adjustable bilstein 5100(which is effectively increasing the spring rate). The OME lift is the same travel as stock. The same with the OME bp51.

That makes sense. I guess the main thing I'm confused about is the droop. (hence saying droop 50 times) With a 3" lift, how much droop do you actually get if most of it is taken up in your lift?

Do you free up some travel with new UCA and removing the swaybar?

Also, dude, it took me probably two weeks to find your build thread. I think I suck at searching. You might could put it in your sig though.

Edit: It is in the sig, hiding behind the picture!
