The smaller one won't hold ice as long if you pack them both to the top and leave them, but for 2 or 3 days it works great.

 

Works great for a hot day on the kayak too!

 

So can anyone with an undercover tonneau cover verify that a 52 qt will fit in my bed with it closed? I went to Walmart and measured and it is gone be VERY CLOSE.

 

not the same cover you're asking about but I used to have a bakflip g2 and with the 52qt, i could force the cover closed (if you close the rear most panel, it would rest on the cover 1/2-1" above the closure point. Note: I'm running kbvoodoo bedcaps so the bakflip sits about 1/2" lower than with stock siderails so it probably would close just fine with the 52 in the bed.

 

Thank you sir. I think I could force it shut with little issues. I may purchase it and see. If not I could return it! Having a cover really limits the size and brand you can use.

 

Thought I'd throw it out there. My 52 qt ozark cooler top has waves in it now. It's been sitting on my deck in NC for the last 2 weeks. So extended amount of time in direct sunlight will warp it. Doesn't bother me at all, but thought I'd tell my experience.

Edit: I've had the cooler for a year or two (can't remember) and I use it. I don't baby it. So take it with a grain of salt.

 

How many cans and ice would you say the 26qt will hold? I used to have the Jumbo soft sided cooler, which claims 36 cans plus ice, so I’m trying to determine if I need to upgrade to this. Thanks!

 

A case (24 pack) and maybe 8-10 pounds of ice between all the cans. It's not that big but it's a great little cooler.
