    - For anyone having any software issues at all, please do not delete files, change computers, etc.

Also, it is important to note:
    - You may have software issues on a Mac or Virtual windows, and using a mac with VM / parallels has never been recommended
    - The software is completely incompatible with any OS older than windows 7
    - The software requires on some computers (due to user privileges / admin privileges) that Windows Defender, other anti-virus, be disabled or add the software as an exception. The newer your computer is, the more likely it's got multiple layers of useless "protections"

once you have downloaded P5Flash software and sent me your system ID, please do NOT delete P5Flash

    - at the current moment some ECU versions you will receive ECU file only (which still has 99.99% of TCU changes) while some new things are being tested on TCU.

again, 99.9999% of all TCU, shift, etc things are within the main ECU file.

So, some of us won't be receiving a full software package, both ECU and TCU?
Shouldn't the current versions of ECU and TCU be shipped and then the "some new things for the TCU" be another version, released at a later date?

Not gonna lie, I’m a little disappointed too. Have had my kit for almost 2 weeks with no tune and now possibly gonna receive a less optimized version....

It is like buying a computer game to play online. Only to be told later, that your version may not have all the same features that the current players have, but your expected to play anyway while awaiting the full and equal version.

Sounds like a more robust software release and version control process needs to be implemented.

It is not less optimized and you will get a newer version tcu file..

I understand many of you guys are newer and haven't been around since the beginning but this is done because an improvement is being made..

Please, for everyone and anyone. If you have any doubts or think I'm trying to buy give out a watered down version...read this entire thread. I continually work on improving things, this is part of it

Yeah, I tried everything - and I often am driving in ECT in the mountains anyway but I tested all modes and had the same 3/4 behavior throughout. I think you'll be fine - you'll need to be in 3rd and 4th most of the time w/ that load anyway :)

I still prefer 1.04 over 1.03 simply because it feels more refined. Zero surging, ever. Zero flares, ever. Shifting generally very smooth. No clunks of any kind of stuttering in any way. It's damn near perfect for my needs, just a bit more work on the TC locking and 3/4 gear changes. I think it's just really hard to get that part completely dialed in for all loads on this load-based torque management

I've come to the conclusion that there is never a right answer on how to do things.

Working with community for as long as I have now I've found there really isn't a right answer on version or file control or release.
I've tried the most easy way, people complain. I've tried other ways, people get confused.
And when someone even here a "hint" that I'm working on an update or that something is being adjusted I get hounded at like hell from people who want it now now now.

And then the issue of some who offer to try different shift patterns or other developments only to immediately jump on here and tell people and get me hounded at again.

Then release the full, current and payed for version (ECU and TCU) and offer the TCU "improvement" update at a later time. Am I just missing something, being new and all.

We just want the current and released version. No one is asking for the new TCU file. We'll get that later, maybe.

Hey @OVTune I know you're busy, but do you have an idea on when we can expect tunes to go out to each group? Specifically 04b03, end of this week? Next week? Just trying to manage my own expectations

When some people ordered a TCU tune did not even exist. When some people ordered we were still in alpha.

So. There is nearly 1000 pages of open development and discussion about how things have progressed, and how development for improvement continues. So far this week I've now been accused of being a thief, I'm now being accused of sending a lesser version of the tune when I'm trying to provide an improved version, what's next... more than once during development we have skipped ahead to new files. I also have not charged for any updates throughout this process. Imagine I sent out the current files then a week later had a TCU update and required you paid for it? That would be shitty.

For everyone reading there is plenty...plenty of pages showing this is an improving product with ongoing development and not something that just happens in a day.

I fully understand waiting sucks. I'm not a patient person so I know how it is. Things are moving as quickly as possible at the moment.

While we are all consumers of @OVTune 's product, the future improvement of this product are really just based on his good will and hard work. It's frustrating to wait, but to his credit, he didn't have to speak to the TCU change. He is honest and open. I appreciate that.

Mat seems like you should take a few days away from the Tacoma world ,Take care of the job at hand with your Dyno testing. Take some time for yourself and get some rest! I think every time you release something new to the Tacoma world you do get all the Crazy stuff thats just ridiculous! We all had to wait patiently for dongles, tunes, updates. Let these guys take the time to start on page 1 and read up on all that you have done! Guys please just relax it will happen! We all had to wait one way or another and the wait is worth it and worth the money you have all invested. Mat is a one man show he does amazing things for our trucks and some of us really appreciate it ! Thanks Again Mat!
