First Oil Change, what type do I get?

Well, I’ll tell you what I use.

Cooked down some shit bacon my buddy gave me, about 15oz oil per Lb!

Runs great and smells like breakfast.

You’ll be surprised what other mofos use on here!

Any 0W-20 will be fine.

 

5w30 Castrol Magnatec is going in my Tacoma for the 5k interval.
Early damn right severe service.
Viscosity. Damn right it is the correct oil.

I used Mobil 1 this time because it was the one AutoZone was doing a special on. That's usually how I pick my oil changes lol, any 0-20 will do fine and I prefer to use synthetics.

Penzoil has a rebate going on right now, $10 back if you buy a 5qt jug. Paid $26 on Amazon, plus 7 for the OEM filter so after rebate I'll be at $23 for a full synthetic oil change.

Mobil 1. 0w-20w.
My 1st gen never burnt a measurable drop of oil in 218,000 miles using Mobil 1 5w-30w.

 

Ive read tests in the forum say Toyota brand oil is slightly better than mobil1 or other 0w-20. I use Toyota oil but I’m sure any 0-w20 will work. Just have to shop and see what price you can get.

 

Toyota stuff at the dealer. Can't complain.... Now I'm past 20k mi, I will use any synthetic 0w20 from a known name....

Mobil1 extended performance because it's always in stock at any Wal-Mart. Good for 15K w/ their filter but did notice https://www.walmart.com/ip/Super-Tech-Synthetic-0w20-5q-Dexos1-Gen2/254038905 . Curious who's making it?

Redline is as good as it gets. One of the only true Group V poly ester synthetics along with Amsoil and Motul.

If you run a remote filter, Redline will go to 100,000 miles. I’ll never do that, but it really never breaks down, only gets contaminated.

OP, any 0W-20 is fine if changed at regular intervals.

 

Any ILSAC 0w20-10w30 or ACEA A3 oil and some c3 oils with good gas will work.
