I decided to live in the truck, yes.

(Kidding) girlfriend had be a good (and bad influence) on me financially. Last couple times we have gone on Craigslist adventures for dirt bikes and motorcycles, she tells me it's not"what I want" and I'm buying what I don't actually want because it's cheaper.

Needless to say she came with to buy my off road. She saw the blue and said she liked it. I explained the pro, what it had etc. She asked if I wanted it, I said of course. She said buy it. I said no.

She said buy it .I said it's 10k more.

She said is it what you really want?

    I said yes.

    So I bought it.

Congrats. I like that color, and I really like the absence of decals/stickers for a clean look. When it's warm enough for a couple consecutive weeks, I think I'm removing my OR decals.

Congrats on the graduation and the truck, but take a hard look at what your girlfriend is doing. She is molding/training you already. Be careful bro.

I was thinking the exact same thing. It can be good, but it can turn bad.

I did the same OP. Straight out of A&P school with zero debt, single, and no kids, living at home still, got me my first new vehicle. 2017 TRD pro in manual.

I don't regret it, but I will say it is the last new vehicle I will buy, and would probably even want to buy with all the auto-everything, cost cutting and nannies.

Speaking from experience, any 15+ year old Toyota in mint shape that I have overpaid for has been just as reliable as any new car for me. I hope this taco is the same when its that old.

    Enjoy the Tacoma man!

His payment is a little elevated because he's doing a 3-year loan and the pro being about $10k more than a TRD OR. Payments mostly are a function of how much downpayment you have (loan term and interest rate also influence, but I dont' believe are as significant as the actual amount you're borrowing).

My payment is about $250 a month for 48 months on my TRDOR, but that's because I only took out a ~$10k loan.
