Why alarms? Just get a removable steering wheel. Good luck driving off without one.

There are plenty of brands worth using. I find the most important part is trusting the shop your going to take it to to have it installed (unless you're going to install it yourself). I personally like Compustar.

Our trucks have key less entry which is activate it via remote control.. By adding an alarm, can they reuse the same remote controls, or separate remote controls would have to be used just to arm and disarm the alarm system?
    thank you,

I used to have one on my Honda crx. Was made by Grant. Got it from a friend that had it on his old cj7. He forgot the steering wheel and drove it home with 2 pairs of vice grips.:headbang:

I think you have both options these days. Compustar makes a product that can be configured both ways, use your OEM remote or add an additional one.
I know you're not in Canada but this is where I found a source.

I’ve always wanted a fuel switch for just in case. Never have put one on a vehicle. Luckily I havnt had to deal with a stolen car yet.

I was thinking a removable steering wheel would have been great back in high school or collage for those late nights in the car with the ladies.

I still think you should get a fuel switch. I always wanted to have The Transporter movie car where he typed a code in to start his car.
