Use number 20? for @Zac of all trades mounts... 2 pairs of ubolts, some filing on the sides of them to be able to fit between the bars, and was able to mount his hi-lift mounts to the cargo basket. It is rock solid on there and does not move at all. Only thing I really need to do is get some longer carriage bolts that the hi-lift goes on so there is a little more thread for the wing nuts to have and so I can try and drill a hole through one to be able to run a lock through it...

Nothing major done to them so if I ever remove them, they can still be used just like normal on the bed rails.

 

If the u-bolts get loose over time, do you run the risk of the hi lift going through the back window?

 

Looks like there’s vertical basket structural bars on each side of the mount, so it doesn’t have all that much room to move. Can’t tell how much clearance there is between window and hi-lift though.

 

Good call, I didn't notice the vertical bars at first.

 

They are mounted like so, I just flipped it to the passenger side. I am going to be checking the mounts this weekend for looseness and everything when I am in Hot Springs. Right now I can shake the entire truck and the mounts don't move at all.

I am also going to be working on a temp locking solution for it so if they did come lose or something, it would not be able to go through the window and it would just hang there as it will be locked from the hilift bar to the cargo basket and not to the mounts.

 

Looks like it will fit in the garage!

 

With plenty of space to spare as well!
