    Morning y'all!

Noticed I had a burnt out headlight this morning. Stupid Silverstars didn't even last a year. Ordered some Osram Nightbreakers off Amazon to replace them.

There’s not enough money to get me out of the south, unless it’s to Montana.

Vibration / shudder on take off is real. Lasts until about 20 MPH then it's gone. New shocks won't be here until Tuesday. :angrygirl: Truck rides pretty good otherwise, but I get a pretty good thunk from the rear when I hit a speed bump, which I think are the rear shocks getting fully extended despite the extra weight I'm running.

vibes are likely a symptom of altered driveline angles. there is no 1 definitive solution. possible solutions are, carrier bearing spacer / drop, axle shims (what degree is the question) My vibes have come and gone, right now I am pretty vibe free. I have 2 pairs of shims on my workbench I sourced (2.5°, and 3° i believe)

much info on youtube about correcting driveline vibes / angles. Basically you are looking to have the angle at the front diff = but opposite the angle at the rear diff, so they cancel each other out. easier said than done.....I measured my angles a few times.

    good info in this one

Good info there, Jimbo! Thanks! I'm going to get the new shocks installed, give the pack a week or two to settle, then see where I'm at with everything. Will definitely be doing much research between now and then.

Nothing will make the vibes go away completely. Even perfect driveline angle is only perfect when the truck is parked. Driveline angle is dynamic, changes with weight, acceleration, etc. Check your u-joints and carrier bearing they were happily worn where they were before you had the leafs changed.

Anybody want to be a part of the Red Clay Rally this weekend ? We could use additional timekeepers. Would need to be in Johnson City TN (BORLA) Thurs night, and we end up in Lexington KY Sunday afternoon. super built rigs not required, this is an overlanding event after all :D

Must be able to navigate without relying on your cell phone (think desolate, no signal, etc), camping in the woods with 100+ strangers, bugs, snakes, pissed off locals, wet conditions, etc.
