Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

Turned wifi off. Not really helping. Perf monitor is around 25% idle

 

At this point how many times have you tried it? Literally I'd just keep doing it over and over again... or you may end up having to go w/ a different computer which I know will require you to wait for new reg information w/ the dongleless kit. wish we could be of more help!

 

Maybe try flashing the stock file to it .

 

Probably at least 100 times... I'd go get a computer, but I can't drive the truck even... Can't even go to work

 

How do I get the stock file?

 

Any programs using most of the memory or the cpu, like apple update?

 

It should have come with the files sent ? Otherwise have OV send one to you ?

 

Nothing is really running in the background except explorer

Run windows task manager, check if you have a lot of VMware running in the back ground?

 

If I remember right bottom left of window check box .... see all users

 

Have you tried flashing with the laptop not plugged in to AC power?

You can also get the stock file from Flash Manager, or if you saved it when initially reading your own ECU, or even if someone else with the same ECU sends it to you (since sharing of Mat's tunes have also been a thing). For the record, this is pre-dongleless info so idk if anything has changed since Mat went that route, and with the changes to software?

 

I can only imagine what is going through your mind as you wrestle with this situation.

Each time you try and flash, the progress stops at random locations/steps?

Do you have a powered USB hub you can use between the laptop and OBC plug?

 

I didn’t see a read option in the dongless software and the dongle files don’t work.

 

Yeah, random locations. Sometimes it fails before doing anything, sometimes it waits a bit longer...

I do have a powered hub I can try
